I'm surprised at how long the speaker at 1:00 lasted.

A lot of speakers I tried ended up just arcing inside, the voicecoils remained undamaged. That speaker did smoke a bit (that's why it made it into the video), but I think it actually still works.

I wonder how some of these higher voltage transformers work. Like how can you get 2000 volts out of the thing when there's only 120 going into it?

One thing that may help is that I think this guy lives in an area that gets 240V power instead of 120, and I think this because of the tones from the blowing speakers. They are 50Hz tones instead of 60.

Bewegen sich die Klemmkabel durch die Hitze bzw. Durch die Hochspannung? einmal haben sich meine Kabel durch einen Kurzschluss auch verformt.

Bei den Kabeln hatte ich die dünne Litze mit dickerer ausgewechselt, Überlast ist's also nicht. Hauptsächlich bewegen sie sich, weil die Lautsprecheranschlussklemmen, an denen sie hängen, wegschmelzen.

Aha, denn meine sind absoluter Schrott, nur einen knapp 2mm dicken Draht, werden sofort heiß und verformen sich...

Meine waren auch so, bis ich das Kabel ersetzt habe. Nun ist da eine relativ dicke Litze drin, die schafft auch ein paar Ampere :)

Ob sich das bei meinen Lohnt, allein die Krokodilklemmen waren schon bei erster benutzung verbogen und man hat es sehr schwer die Klemme irgendwo zu befestigen da Sie wenn man druck darauf gibt im rutschigen Gummimantel umherrutscht... Ich werde es versuchen.

The speakers were connected to a 2 kV power source. So it indeed is 2000 Volts. Power (Watts) would be Voltage * Current.
