To get lots of smoke you need to warm the sub up by playing it loud for a bit

To be fair when you did the jvc clamping it to the table like that made it so it wouldn't push air through the coil so it may have went faster because of that.

I once gave 2 3x the power and they performed well and lasted the period of me owning them. I built a 3.2 cuft box, 1.6 cuft per sub they shook everything without smelling I eventually pawned them and lost them. I went back to buy them but someone purchased them

I have a 3000 watt subwoofer 1500 watts in each and I pushed it too hard and all sound stopped but then I took it to see what the problem was it was just a few blown fuses in the amp I got them replaced and now the sub distorts on the same song at same volume whereas before it didn’t I’m not too educated I’m car audio hoping to get some answers.

Could totally be. The Cadence sub produces a lot of pressure and so everything that is soft enough will move with this pressure and so does the jvc sub
