Blown, Nitrous, and Turbo Pro Mods - Which is Your Favorite?

I'm a turbo kind of guy but have a soft spot for blown cars, something about the noise & violence of a nasty blower car! We ran a blown car for about 5yrs so there's some sentimental value there, lol. Cost of running a blown car is absurd though, nitrous & turbo is less costly and turbo cars arguably make the most power and top end/down track power like a freight train on fire! Nitrous rules the 1/8th mile pretty fiercely, more controllable in general and do really well in some of the smaller tire classes where other power adders are easy to overpower the tires. Nitrous cars are getting rarer in the tippy top of the performance race it takes some real dedication and serious knowledge like the big name nitrous guys. Blower cars are all encompassing but can be pretty savage beasts to tame. Just when you think turbo cars are here to rule for the future, there will be a blower car to prove you wrong! Love the sound of turbo cars on the 2-step popping and banging before the leave.

Blown. Turbos. Both have a beautiful whine and produce different power bands ..so sick Nitros the purge is heaven And the motor size can be outrageous . All favorites !!!

Its hard to choose really , nitrous got them big ass flames , turbo cars got the top end charge and blowers got the sheer violence. alot of people say turbos are the best and there is alot of truth to that but its all fun and games until someone shows up with a screw blower lol

Blower. Raw 1:1 horsepower. They make the most power and put down the fastest times, they look insane, their the loudest, and that blower whine is badass.

I like watching the old gassers. Those guys had to work hard to make those cars go fast! And they did just that. Twin turbo and blowers I like it all when you can run 3 seconds! Damn.

it's the diversity of options that make the class so good. for me the look of a blown car can't be beaten. however the scream of a turbo coming into stage is also great.

My fav? That's a tough one. I love the sound of the blower cars but they seem to be falling off (speed wise) to the turbos & juice cars in the past few years. I love the mechanics of the turbos - it's genius the way turbos work and how much power they add. Nitrous - well, that's just all around cool. I guess if I were going to go all in and put a team together and build a car, it would be a nitrous car. They are routinely the fastest. (Current world record holder) (Edit: I'd take any of them over a Pro Stock. "Boooooring")

Nitrous Oxide. Big motor. Carbs. Throw a little laughing gas in there, and it makes a sound better than the best music there is. And brute horsepower to boot.

Supercharged sounds amazing with the whine and they are fast out of the hole. But they are absolutely horrible in aero terms and for what the driver can see. I wish they would dump the roots style and go more aero. Nitrous are awesome because they use the huge motors, but they don't work well in the heat and the scoop is just an eye sore in terms of aero again. Wish they'd somehow redesign the tunnel ram system by increasing the V angle or something like that. Or go for mid-engined ProMod bodies, like a Ford GT or a Saleen. Mid-engined bodies would also suit the blower cars. More pressure on the wheelie bars but the air intakes could double as roof or be straight on top of it. Turbos can look great but the whole bumping and spooling is a bit silly and there should be some kinda rally-like anti-lag system in place (dunno if thats possible in that power and size range though). At present: Turbo cars with nitrous a second. I keep thinking that a turbo car can be cheap and expensive but a nitrous car requires an expensive base engine (800+ ci custom) so it can only be expensive.
