Nice! From what I've read, the coolant is used to cool down the EGR spacer since the exhaust gasses recirculating through there during steady acceleration (cruising) situations is much hotter. Also, the 93' Cobra has the EGR and coolant setup, but it is part of the upper intake manifold instead of a spacer like the regular 5.0 HO engines.
@hotrodray68022 жыл бұрын
Dump the egr if smog is not important. Stop the exhaust flow into the spacer. Leave sensor vac hooked.

let’s get the facts straight …… the 93 cobra DOES NOT have coolant flowing through the upper intake . 😊😊

Loved the video! I've been trying to decide if I should order a bump steer kit and what your thoughts were on it, I'd love to see you do a review on the SVE or MM kit on the retro since we all have lowered foxes now days. Do like a before driving vid over some bumps and whatnot and then an after. Mine seems to "fall" into lines in the road and track back and forth at times. Just figured it could be a good video suggestion since they are only about 70 bucks for the kit.

I heard the reason for the engine coolant going through the egr spacer was to keep it cooler due to the exhaust gases being hotter than the coolant. You can get a thicker spacer usually on e-bay and as for the water tube I just cut and weld where the small hose goes and it makes for a cleaner look. Put a pipe plug on the rear of the intake at the location where the other hose was.
