I have never had noodles with chili. I have never saw it on the menu anywhere. I have to have cornbread in my chili. Crumble it up and r the chili over it..Yum! What are bottle caps? I know the peppers are in it, but how is it made or what else do they put in the peppers? Gentry was not much of a fan, but he was starved...LOL!! That makes a difference for sure..lol. I love a good carrot cake!! One of my favs with a cup of coffee. I make one by my granny's recipe for Christmas. It's a 4 layer with lots of nuts and spices. And her cream cheese icing includes nuts and coconut. So good!!! Takes a while to make, but it's so worth it. Hope ya'll have a great week ahead!
@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV16 күн бұрын
Hello Cathy! We don’t always put noodles in our chili but if we’re making a large pot of it at the house, we’ll usually have it with spaghetti or macaroni noodles along with cornbread. It’s a great combo. Your carrot cake sounds amazing! Especially with the coconut. The bottle caps are the nickname they gave to the fried jalapeños. We both enjoyed their fried jalepenos. We hope that you have an amazing week ahead as well, Cathy! God bless!

Skyline Chili will always be the GOAT. Goldstar knew it couldn’t compete to other Chili’s in Ohio, hence why they dropped “Chili” from the name. My wife and I love you guys and enjoy watching your videos. With that being said, our toes couldn’t help but curl from the way you defaced your Way. The proper way to eat a 3,4,5, or 6-Way is to start from one edge and cut each individual bite. Obliterating the middle of the Way was horrifying to watch. LOL Now people do argue about swirling their Ways, but those aren’t true Buckeyes! Keep up the great content. Hopefully those mic level issues get corrected in future videos. Your voice almost busted my speakers lmao.
@EveryDayIsSaturdayTV16 күн бұрын
We’ll have to agree to disagree on that for sure. We like Skyline (we actually ate at Skyline the next day after this video), but think that because they’ve been around longer and have had better marketing campaigns through the years, they’re just a better known brand. We mentioned that some people believe there’s a proper “etiquette” for eating Cincy chili in our Dixie chili video, but just like keeping our hat on at the table, we couldn’t care less about etiquette - we’re there to eat. Sorry that bothered you as well as the sound levels. We’ve been using the auto equalizer in Premiere Pro and it doesn’t also pan out perfectly on some devices.

All the food looks really good. I think the first time I ever had what they call chili 3 ways was at a Steak N Shake maybe 20 years ago or so. The cake looks really good also. Maybe sometime in the future when you all are in the Sevierville area bring your guitars and maybe we can jam together. I love to play country mostly 90s and older. Also play some southern classic rock music. Any how you all make great videos keep up the great work.

I think the chocolate rumor came from a cookbook that was written to replicate famous recipes. The only way the author of that cookbook could come close to Cincinnati chili, both in taste and color, was to add melted baking chocolate as best I recall. It was never part of the Gold Star or Skyline recipe but folks made the leap from the Imposter recipe to the originals.

I think Gentry should always have oldest son privileges when it comes to announcing locations. He’s clearly a great big brother who looks after Henry all the time and often sweetly defers to him - no need to take away something that he came up himself with and give it to Henry.
