Hi folks, after nearly 1 million views of my Blue Bossa solo here on KZbin and so many questions "how you do that . . .", I decided to make a lesson to show you how to improvise over the chord progression. As always no talking, straight to point, no wasted time and with my step by step system. You will get the best results by using the additional tabs, neck diagrams and backing tracks available on my website. After working with this lesson you will definitely improvise more melodically with more connections to the comping chords. All the best for your playing and don't forget to practise !

Top lesson - beautifull sound and playing, very nice guitar, what kind of amplifier are you playing in this video Achim?
@AchimKohl-JazzGuitar6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rony, I don't use an amp for recordings, I play directly in my audio interface, you hear only the pure sound of the guitar with a little compressor, EQ and reverb.

Your non-verbal teaching method is absolutely perfect! You stay on point and demonstrate exactly what the student needs to know and only what they need to know for the lesson. And in an easy way to understand and follow. So many instructors talk entirely too much! So much that the student can't focus on the point of the lesson. I don't need to hear 20 different ways to play a new chord I am just learning and 20 minutes of the instructor telling how easy it is to play. I think you get my point. Keep up the excellent teaching system you are using. I love it!

Thank you for such a clear and useful series of instructional videos. I'm new to guitar and it's a minefield out there. Most lessons are geared towards rock music, and anything Jazz focused tends to be disjointed and no explanation to why. In this lesson alone, you just implied my missing links, how chord voicing fit, why I have to learn my modes like my alphabet, and many other mysteries and you have given my self tuition direction and purpose. Your playing is a joy to listen to and your voice is non existent, you speak louder by saying nothing and letting the lesson flow. I'm blown away. Thank you again.
