These lessons have been a revelation to me. I've had several abortive attempts a learning Jazz improvisation . I'd learn some scales and modes but could never work out what the hell to do with them once I'd learned them. These lessons have lifted the fog. They are so clear in their presentation, they make what was once baffling to me now seem almost simple. Can't thank you enough!

Hi Guys, if I call a lesson "easy", it's easy for all of you who can play some jazz and blues guitar, it doesn't mean it's easy if know three chords and know nothing about music theory. To play jazz guitar is an art and you need some effort to learn this, it's a hard road by the way . . .

The example 3.3 says "advance level" in KZbin, but in the corresponding tab says "easy level"
@stringbender572 жыл бұрын
I love your teaching concept from easy to advanced level all in the same video lesson. Anyone can jump on at a level they can play and build from there making your lessons perfect for anyone at any level. I am SO glad I found your channel. I once owned a Gibson ES-137 Custom and wish I had it back. They are surprisingly heavy though.

Hello. I’ve been a rock, metal player for 30 years so I know about arpeggios and such. I can do the shredding arpeggios with ease but I’ve always wanted to learn jazz. It’s a whole new monster. I love it. These lessons are amazing. Teaches perfectly for a guy like me. I know most of the arpeggio shapes but putting them into thong requires a new “jazz” skill. Don’t want a metal sound in a jazz song lol. Looking forward to applying this to my playing. Thank you!!

Hi Folks, here is my new lesson in a funky jazz guitar style. As always the lesson comes with my "step by step" system. Every step includes two playing levels "easy" and "advanced". If you are a Blues player, then that's the right lesson for you to get a more jazzy sound in your blues playing. All the best and don't forget to practise . . .

Some very cool stuff here. I always find it useful to go down to the bones and build up. Play some lines over and again with discipline. It's easy to riff and shred like crazy, especially when you've been doing it for a long time. It actually takes some concentration to get down to the bones.

Thanks for a great lesson. I am probably like a lot of old guys been playing pentatonic for years but never understood a little of the theory. I now know minor pentatonic has the flat third and flat seventh and then just add in flat 5 for the minor blues scale! Also the chromatic approach and then using apparegio on the turnaround sounded cool ! One thing I have learned is scale formulas and chord construction are really key because once you get them down you can move them all over the fretboard .
