Impressive the wear on the pick... I'm a horrible sinner lol. I have collection of picks but I don't use them. I finger strum. I never was comfortable with picks. Weird, ain't it? Always great to see you on your videos. Stay cool and safe, my friend!🥰🎶🎶🎶

Well, I also never became comfortable with a pick. So, I finger pick - strum as well despite my utter disbelief in the sin system

I finger pick a lot too, my problem is I got used to using finger picks and it feels weird to me to play without them lol I like the warm tones tho without using any picks at all. thanks Nicole! happy picking! :D

I have had a blue chip 40 for about a year . Love it

Nearly bought a blue chip once, years ago & couldn’t really afford it at the time so I’d opted for the Jim Dunlop Prime-tone picks which I liked very well. Honestly I think I like the fender medium & heavy picks and the V-Picks more accurately the “Big Fatty” lol

I carry picks in my wallet and usually a pick in the coin pocket of my jeans, rubbing around with coins, and I haven't ever worn out a pick in a couple of days like you claim to have done. Even playing them on stainless strings as though it was my job. And not just premium picks, like Tortex, but even the freebies from local music stores and luthiers - the picks outlasted the stores in most cases. An objective, side-by-side comparison with some other stuff would be great even though you're not wrong for having a favorite.

If I was using them I would definitely spring for the pick sharpener/shaper/restorer...

I believe 2 mm is 80 thousands of an inch or very close. Could be the 80 designation on the pick.
@jthonn
@jthonn 2 ай бұрын
That is correct sir. 80th is 2.032 mm

These are remarkable picks. I have a number of different sizes, but have settled on the TP40 as my go to. Have played the same one for the last 3 years.

I built a stewmac kit hd28 guitar for a guy one time (got videos on here of it) that was sent from stewmac with a hd28 body and the neck was for an hd35! I had a terrible time getting the neck to fit but made it work. I hope your kit is not like that. thanks for viewing!

Blue Chip Pick, say that fast ten times, lol. Too expensive for me to lose. Although, it gives me ideas to maybe take some hardwoods and make some myself, and see what sounds best. Thanks for the video.

@ Jthonn. I've made them out of many things. It's fun experimenting but wood material is Brazilian picks give a full tone. Coconut is fair. But nothing can replace tortoise shell or Blue Chip. That's my findings

but honestly, Blue Chip Picks probably would have saved EVH's life instead of him chewing on the metal ones - these might have been beefy and crunchy enough to suffice.
