Used similar trick back in viet nam days. Recip aircraft engine. Too much drop on run up on 1 mag. Grease pencil stripe on each header, the one that didn't melt after a quick run was the the problem. Damn! Memories!

Yo Jeremy. That pump is also used in Ford vehicles. its considered a high output 300LPH. I built a tester that uses that pump for testing the FPCM my work designs/builds/sells to OEM's. To get the pump out I drilled the plastic sonic welds out and separated the top. Can bolt it back together or zip tie her.
