My dad drove a gasoline tanker for many years. It was an old White Freightliner cab over with a small sleeper. It had a V8 Detroit. Either an 8V71 or 8V92, I’m not sure. Had an 18-speed twin stick. Thing was loud. It was a bitch to start though, lol. Sure miss those days riding with him back in the 80s. ☺️

You need to open high and low side on the gages while vacuuming the system down. Then, hold the vacuum for at least 4 hours. I hold large units overnight to make sure there are no low-pressure leaks.

Like to see a Montage with the song Blue Collar by Bachman Turner Overdrive playing [demonitized video perhaps but it would be worth it]. Sad really for me. Used to love tuning in for Blue Collar updates. Such a beautiful looking truck and that extra bit of tin on that one corner... character and it is a dead giveaway that you are looking at the authentic Blue Collar. The new trucks are more comfy and all... I mean, one could do an Aerodyne style transplant roof and big hole the behind the drivers seat into the bunk area. Still like to see you take an old 359 and big hole the back and drop a big ass sleeper with a stretch job frame.... drop front axle air bags with a 379 axle... sweat air ride it but with that old school corvette dash. That way you'd have an old school and wife comfort thing going on. The Honky Tonka truck version.
