WE ALSOWENT OUT LATE AT NIGHTON A FULL MOON OR JUST CALM SUMMER NIGHTS WITH SPPOTLIGHTS HOOKED UP TO AN XTRA CAR BATTERY WITH CRAB NETS THAT WAS ALWYS AN EASY 50 MINIMUN.THEY SWIM ON TOP OF THE WATER AT NIGHT HAPPY NEW YEAR

I believe fresh bait is better for fishing and crabbing, when I used to go commercial fishing I used only fresh bait and everyone I knew. Did the same, by fresh bait I mean frozen fresh not bait that's starting to rot. Happy New Year

Ok Joyce, you have cooked crabs in many different ways, the last one is to fry them in olive oil, garlic butter, Bay seasoning, then top them with oregano at the end in the last minutes of frying, it will be a whole new experience, you won't be sorry. They have a earthy fried taste but with no breaded coating, they are sooooo good, it's better than baked......pleeeeeezzzzzz try them! This recipe is from a seafood resturant in NJ that the locals love! 🙂🙂🙂

Yum. Do you ever make pasta with your shrimp or crab? Forgive me if I’ve missed it. I’m a huge pasta fan! For example , lobster Mac and cheese is hugely popular. Maybe shrimp Mac and cheese should be too. Or fettuccine Alfredo with crab and asparagus. Just thoughts. I guess I’m hungry, lol.

Best bait is fish hands down i commercialy crabbed for 25 yrs mullet mehadden or shad bust their bellys and its on

You're right, when I used to go commercial fishing I had to have a good catch to pay bills so I bought bait, but now it's just for fun so we use the carcasses of whatever we catch or old chicken. We usually catch enough for dinner or two and that's ok. Thanks for Watching our videos

Isn't 18ft too deep for the winter, crabs like warmer water, especially in the winter....even though it's Florida, doesn't the water cool off?

We find setting the commercial traps in deep water we catch the largest crabs. Last week one of our traps moved somehow into the channel ( probably by the strong current,) in 20 ft of water, that trap had the most and largest crabs. Happy New Year

Well I’m writing you this now cause I’m the one that told you to stinky in a chicken is the better for craving so now I’m gonna watch the rest of the video to find out if I was right but I’m betting on the smelly chicken to do better

The stinky chicken caught crabs in one of the two traps we tried it in but I always felt fresh bait works best for fishing or crabbing.the commercial crabbers I no always use fresh frozen menhaden, (bunker) for bait.
