hehe! Although I love that she doesn't explain why he is, his specific colour, but rather why difference is valuable! That speaks volumes. I love the simplicity and clarity and joyfulness of the message of how important diversity is to the success of our planet. Be it in ingredients, species, genetics, culture or even personality!

It's nice that the Mother said that she gets burned accidentally by the hot oil sometimes too. Even when we have the best of intentions, we can get wrapped up in stereotypes and politics and be a little less loving than we should. It's a really good moral to say that sometimes it's okay, as long as it's an accident and you make sure to cool down and treat the wound straight away :)

There are stereotypes based on real life eventos too. I understand the message of "love and peace" but it seems too naive to believe that no one is better than anyone and that we are all "equal".

The kid's name is Neel. In both bengali & hindi (Indian languages) the colour blue is called neel. I can see this was not a coincidence as the voice artists and some crew members were Indians or of Indian descent. Absolutely loved the animation and the curry ♥️

Gobelins, you should seriously consider making a movie or a series, as every single short you make is better than almost any other animation studio producing today. In my opinion you are not a school, but a studio producing one masterpiece after the other. This was beautiful beyond words.

I beg to differ ; I think part of the success of these videos is that they are short(ish) and that no producers can dictate their scenario or their creative choices. Hence such an artistic and technical quality ; creative people going wild on what they love ! ❤️

yep, it's a good idea in theory, but a short can be done with a little team, which allow them to work on what they really like. And whn it comes to movie, a big team is required, (or a LOT of time), everyone have to agree with the ideas and it represent much more money... money is not very a good thing in art generally

I nearly cried watching this. Reminded me of my 2nd-grade social studies teacher who narrated how the land was ruled by dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. She had us design the story from birth to extinction as some sort of layered smoothie of sorts. The cookie bits were the land, water was this blue jelly, and the gummies were the dinosaurs. Kids who chose volcanic eruption as the extinction method would get some sort of crumbly cake topped with whip cream; kids who believed a meteor killed the dinosaurs got scoops of ice cream and whip cream. In both cases, she topped the snack with strawberry jam to imitate fire/lava. She told us the world would be the mixture of all those things. And when someone asked how we were still here despite the fire and destruction, she told us "Life found a way" (We watched Jurassic Park earlier).
