Thanks for posting this video. Looks like a great boat design to fish from when casting poppers. When we occasionally get schools of Bluefin tuna offshore from San Francisco they are extremely boat shy. If you see a boil and get closer than 100 yards they sound and are gone. I wonder why they behave so differently up here.

Hi Geoff, Great video! How's 2018 looking so far for Tuna surface action? I am coming back to San Diego next month after being overseas for 14 months and doing a lot of popper fishing for Dog Tooth and GTs. Hoping to get some surface action on the BF and YF Tuna!

Hi Geoff, How do you like that 7'8 terez heavy for popping? Have any problems taking big fish on it? I dont know if i should get that or the XH version. Best, Mo
@geoffheldoorn90607 жыл бұрын
The 7'8" was awesome for casting poppers and pulling on big fish. I don't think any of them fought more than 30 min total

Foamers right at the boat. Wow...priceless. Losing your favorite lures ...painful regardless of end of day fish count.

Are you using single hooks...I have better luck with tuna on single hooks rather than trebles...
