Actually I would really love to see how your whole ink collection looks like in the shelfs (so to speak) and how you store all of it. ❤️

Thank you, Dave. You've broadened my appreciation of blue inks, though I wonder about your picks, for one reason is that I think the ajisai looks pale, where the Herbin ink is almost a blue-noir. But. That's from viewing the swatches. The written samples are much closer in appearance, I think.

I love these. I own asa gao, which I love.. I’ve been eyeing ajisai. Iroshizuku inks are so well behaved. Diamine Imperial Blue is also gorgeous.

Doppelganger? I too use asa gao and have made a note just now to get the Diamine Imperial Blue. In the writing sample, it appears to be more "blue" than the others. I disagree with Dave in that I think the ajisai looks washed out.

Thank you Dave for a master presentation. Bravo...

Love your videos! It would be cool to look at the special inks that Diamine does for third parties like Cult Pens. Their Little Micky (shade and sheen) and Deep Dark Blue (sheen monster) are amazing; both show sheen in writing samples, as well.

Thanks Warren, glad you like the videos! I'm definitely looking at some of the more specialty / exclusive inks to come soon.

Thank you for your ink comparison videos. They are very helpful in making decisions about ink colors. I have three of these blues and I've wanted Ajisai for sometime now but was afraid it was too close to Bleu Myosotis. Seeing these next to each other makes me want Ajisai even more. Thanks!!

Both Myosotis and Ajisai are great inks, but quite different and I think both compliment each other.

Venvustas is probably Venustas - it is just written as is usual in Roman inscriptions.

Herbin’s “Bleu Myosotis” on my screen has a storm cloud feeling. I am surprised by how much I like what I see…

Can you please tell if Pilot Asa gao will fade? Will it stay the way in 3-4 months? Because I wish write my exam with it. Thanks sir
@PenultimateDave Жыл бұрын
Fading of inks is very subjective unfortunately. All inks will fade if you leave them in sunlight due to them being water based inks. I couldn't really say whether it will fade, I've not seen most fountain pen inks fade over time if in a notebook where the notebook was closed.

I love you Dave but the way you pronounce Japanese words as if they were English is sending me up the wall.

You'll have to give me some lessons, English is good but Japanese is unfortunately something I have never learned.
