Thanks, new versions are a bit different but the concept is the same.

Great video..thank you... I used to use this until I bought the app...yes it's about $10, but well worth it... the app notification I feel is much faster than the picture message... but this is picture message is a great alternative for those without the app.

Richard, good set a videos. I just got Blue Iris and I'm trying to get a handle on all the different little settings that make this program great. Working out great thus far. If I could suggest, (because people love to spam), please resubmit this video and mask your number man, don't want people from the masses looking at this video and flooding your phone with calls or spoofing your number.. Sorry, but just trying to help..

Thanks Richard, another good tutorial....I've used this feature alot and find it very handy for when I'm away from home. BTW...I'm not sure if that's your real phone number but if I were you, I would blur that out and re-post the video. You never know, but you could start to get a lot of random phone calls from people! Unless that's something you want! :) Please keep these videos coming!

Tony Garcia Hah yes it is my real number but it's my business number. Something they can get from my website anyways. Don't know if you noticed but there was a second number I did blur out which was my wife's #. Good spot though! If you ever see anything like that (like me showing my license or anything) let me know. I try to watch a few times to make sure I don't miss stuff like that. :D

Hello, your videos are very informative and very well structured, thank you. Just thinking of replacing my zmodo system and looking for a better product, I'm liking this Blue Iris product. One of the things that my wife likes about the current system is the Iphone App, to see if there is parking, (don't ask). Do you know if there is an APP for BI?

Argh! Don't allow less secure in Google, create an app password instead! This assumes you are using 2-step verification with gmail (which you SHOULD be using). Generating an app password creates a one-time password for use with Blue Iris. This allows BlueIris to continue to work even if you change your gmail password. Search for "App passwords". 1) Select App (choose other and name it "BlueIris" or whatever) 2) Generate. You will get a 16 character password to use with BlueIris. You don't need to write it down or remember it after using it. If you ever need to do it again, you can just regenerate a new app password.

Brian Dill I'll look into this. I create a separate account just for Blue Iris and don't use my main email account anyways. Can you explain why using allow less secure in Google would be a security risk with using with Blue Iris.
