@orangebudday7 жыл бұрын
what effects are you using in the zoom pedal? i also have this pedal and its amazing how it changes Korg Volca Keys sounds! thanks in advace!
@zarubinleonid7 жыл бұрын
I use Shimmer reverb because it emulates Strymon BlueSky and creates funny pitch effect. I think in this video I didn't use any of delays, because Volca keys already have a delay effect. I love this pedal too! You can see in my videos that it creates good sound even from cheapest casio toy synths.

Патч один, это заметно, когда я кручу фильтр - он влияет сразу и на арпеджио и на лид. Может быть так кажется из-за того, что арпеджио играет короткими нотами и успевает перейти в фазу релиза.

I realize I'm a bit late to the party, but I've tried to set this up with mono and straight into headphones. It does not want to work and I was hoping you had some pointers.
@zarubinleonid Жыл бұрын
It's never too late. What exactly is not working?
@bojiggy Жыл бұрын
@@zarubinleonid well I'm only getting L in the headphones, despite routing it to only mono input to the pedal. The plug for my headphones is a stereo plug, but i tried it with a 3,5mm --> 6,3mm mono adapter and still only got L in the headphones. Additionally I have a lot of interference in the 3,5mm aux from volca to pedal, but I think it's because I use 3,5mm to 3,5mm aux with a 6,3mm adapter and the aux has 3 rings on it, rather than the 1 for mono or 2 for stereo. I'm a super novice, so I have no idea what I'm doing, but this setup looks and sounds incredible.
@zarubinleonid Жыл бұрын
@@bojiggy Zoom pedal doesn't have standard stereo output, only L and R output. So, you can't just plug your headphones into L or R channel. You need a stereo splitter with two 6.35 mm jacks. If you're powering the pedal via usb, I recommend using a battery. I got rid of some of the noise that way
@bojiggy Жыл бұрын
@@zarubinleonid no exactly, but I'm trying to use a mono input and therefore a mono out..? When I've got my Microfreak hooked up to the pedal, I use mono in and it's fine to route via my computer with a Scarlett. But maybe it won't work with the headphones...
@zarubinleonid Жыл бұрын
@@bojiggy It shouldn't work with headphones, because headphones have a stereo jack (TRS), and pedal have two mono outputs (TS), for left and right channel separately. If you route only one pedal output to Scarlett, the sound will still be mono. Scarlett may duplicate this channel, but it will be the same sound on the L and R channels. You can try the stereo echo effect - there will be no stereo bouncing.
@KazuyaMusic7 жыл бұрын
Liking this jam man, been debating this pedal for my FM, you've got me excited now! A question though - since the pedal and the volca both run on a 9v psu (i think), do you daisy chain them to save outlet space?
@zarubinleonid7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I prefer to use batteries and I haven't a daisy chain. But I think it's possible to chain volcas and zoom with one power unit. You just need to keep in mind that volcas need "plus in center" plug and zoom needs "minus in center". The shapes of plugs are different too. So it should be a custom daisy or daisy with some adapters. Anyway, with this pedal all volcas and another small synthesizers sounds like heaven.
@KazuyaMusic7 жыл бұрын
Леонид Зарубин Oh okay, thanks for the response, I currently use batteries on my Volcas anyway, so I'm sure I can find an outlet for the zoom somewhere!
