I remember seeing in early season that you guys used Tim Fairbanks firegrains, why did guys switch to the Ausdemores?

They felt a bit better for the music that Mike wrote, which is generally more open and musical. The Ausdemores have more weight in the shoulder so it is easier to gain velocity coming down to get that round and beefy sound Mike loves. The Fairbanks would've been great for choppier stuff (like X plays) b/c the weight is more evenly distributed, making the stick much easier to control.
