When doing a round trip all around the island, two more options can be mentioned. Myvatn Nature Baths (close to, unsurprisingly, Myvatn) and Vök Baths near Egilsstadir. Both are close to the N1 ring road.

Silly question(s) - how does one pay for drinks at a swim-up bar? Are credit cards waterproof? And where do you store it on your person while splashing about? Logistics aside, I love the concept.

Not silly. They give you a rubber bracelet w a chip in it - it's connected to your credit card.. voila.

I experienced the Blue Lagoon, Sky Lagoon and the Secret Lagoon last week while in Iceland. They're all very different from one another. The Secret Lagoon was part of my golden circle tour package, and the water there was so relaxing that I almost forgot about time 🙂.
