Imagine after he scores we see him run off, yanks his shirt off with 1 hand, bends down, crosses his arms right before jumping into the air screaming in front of the crowd as the cameras are flashing like crazy on him. This this was the exact reason why people were so much concerned about blue lock vs u20 being animated by the same studio which relies more on cgi and still frames that it'll ruin of the greatest arc in blue lock and geuss what , they were absolutely right about the studio ruining this entire arc but to THIS EXTENT is what nobody could've thought of .

It wasn't mid. It's just kinda good-ish if you compare it to the much earlier episodes. Though that's really not saying much given how much they butchered the early parts of the U-20 arc. Reo's jumping turn was actually much better than Barou's goal in my opinion. Kinda wish they focused more on Barou sliding in while holding back two dudes rather than cutting to him for a split second then just showing his face. I think that would've been more hype.

Genuinely I went into this super hyped after episode 10 and 11 being pretty good. But here in episode 12 the only things I really thought was good was Aiku’s Backstory, Reo's Copy Defense, Gagamaru’s Gamble save. I was gonna say Barou’s goal but there was no build up or any love shown to it.

The brainwashing of the Blue Lock anime fan base has to be studied. Y'all got conditioned to see below average animation for so long that you'll hype anything at this point and that's exactly what the committee and 8-bit studios have banked on. And stop talking about these episodes as if they were rectifying their mistakes on a weekly basis. These episodes are the final product so there is no improvement. And yes, these last episodes were mid because they still suffer from the same deficiencies that S2 has been plagued by since release. How are you going to tell me that this is the peak of sport anime when you got a show with furry girls running against each other being 100x better animated that this failure ( I'm referring to Uma musume). You got animes from decades ago like Inazuma 11, Captain Tsubasa and Kuroko's Basket running laps on this lifeless adaptation. I know I will be called a hater just like anyone who dares to criticise this bs as if one of the greatest BL arcs wasn't robbed from us but one day you'll wake up and you'll find out that Season 3 will look the same if not worse because you settled for less. The criticism is 100% justified.

You know why it’s like this? because there is more thinking duh. Last episode there was less thinking, Barou doing chops, yuki doing crazy dribbles. No big thinking and tons of technical skill. In this episode tons of thinking. The more thinking, the less motion, however that’s not an excuse, they could add original content I suppose but it seems the directors are playing safe and still saving some budget while using the thinking as slow motion or still frames to mirror the manga, the art is incredible still though. If people are complaining about this episode they’re the problem. Cuz it was hype. The inner dialogue forces the game to slow down naturally. Barous goal is a surprise, no crazy technique to animate like shidous goal and they already animated barous chop dribbles

I can agree that ost choices ARE good, but the transmissions between them are completelly messed up, especially in the isagi and sae theme's mixing, when isagis about to score and then sae showing up, these two tracks literally are like fire and ice and you can't blend them together in a fucking flash like they did. From the perspective of someone who's a literall ost addict it was kinda tough to listen and even with good choices for particular themes, it falls very short in the end.
