I have read and watched haikyuu and same for blue lock, but I would still say blue lock is better manly because of the insane writing and art but also character development that has changed in a drastic way during a match of blue lock

Bachira got actively bullied for his odd personality and expectational skills in football which made him terrified of being alone. Rin got abandoned by his brother. Chigiri tore his acl and got bullied for it, he became afraid of playing football for fear of losing 'who he is'. Reo's parents didn't believe in him. Nagi had no friends in high school before meeting Reo and frequently got gossiped about or possibly bullied. Hiori's parents only wanted him to be the number one striker and didn't care about him. Yukimiya got diagnosed with optic neuropathy which means someday he's going to lose his vision; he is going to lose it quicker playing tense sports like football. Naruhaya's parents are dead, so Naruhaya and his siblings have to be taken care of by their older sister, they are also poor. Snuffy lost his friend after they were removed from the first team in the team they played in. Zantetsu was constantly being bullied cause he's dumb. And not to mention more than 200 hundred Japanese highschoolers got their dream shattered cause of blue lock.
