11:11 Runic Talons have higher stat requirements (115str/dex vs 79/79), so Greater Talons are prefered for builds where weapon dmg is irrelevant. Aside from that, I believe, they can roll the same.

One of the best magic items I ever found were in 1.09 days, it was a Cruel ethereal Balrog spear of Evisceration, it was the best "poke" stick and rolled perfect on the ED 300% and rolled +57 on the max damage. It may not sound like much today, but Jabzons were one of the best PvP classes at the time, so that spear kicked some serious ass.

Note to new d2r players (as old players already know this): this is incorrect. - none of these are worth "more than your ENTIRE ACCOUNT" - unless your account is less than 10 days old or something. - a lot of these fall under the "used to be good" category. For example, the +6 to LS claws. These are now worthless, as a self-wielded infinity (in a brandistock or whatever) blows them out of the water for a trap assassin since sunder charms were introduced. A -25 griffon (lightning rainbow facet) coupled with a -55 infinity will bring enemy lightning resistances down to 15 max and that's BEFORE the conviction aura is applied. No claws can compete with that. No, not even the so-called +6 to LS claws. No, not even if you have 2 of them. - some of them don't exist, as they can't exist. One example would be at 9:47, with the "powered eldritch orb of the magus", which, in addition to the +6 and 20 FCR, has 60 life. This doesn't exist. Magic items can have one prefix and one suffix. Powered = +3 light skills. Of the magus = 20% fcr. The other +3 to lightning and lightning mastery are staff mods, which don't count. Where did the +60 life come from? It's made up, as simple as that. - some of them wouldn't be used by anyone in their right mind (like the 50% MF amulet). The only reason to use one of those is if you're using it to make a video along the lines of "what's the highest amount of MF you could wear" (with no practical implications, as no one would bother doing that for obvious reasons). Anyone who understands how MF works understands why that amulet is charsi food. The only amulets anyone cares about are the crafted amulets, +2 skills, close to 20 fcr, close to 20 all res, whatever other useful mods you can get. - Two magic items which are definitely expensive are 6/40 javelins and the jmod. Yeah, sure, they're expensive - not "more than your entire account" expensive, but expensive. But most of the items listed there are close to medium-value at best. For example a +6 bo helm. I can go and buy one right now for 200 fg. To put that into context, that's 2 5/5 rainbow facets. If that's more than your entire account is worth, all I can say is maybe try logging in more than once a month... "¯\_(ツ)_/¯ " - the 3/20 gloves are largely worthless. The best for javazons would be crafted 2/20 caster gloves (+3 maek with some other mods, like str/dex). The best for assassins are crafted 2/20 (usually crushing blow ones or rare ones with MF). I don't know why the bowazon gloves are listed. I've not seen a bowazon in years, I doubt anyone's playing one on ladder. - finally, the valuable stuff on this list is so extremely rare that ID-ing blue items in the hope of finding something valuable will result in so much time wasted picking up crap (usually in the cube, id-ing, dropping it) that you'd be better off just playing the game and picking up "proven" drops only (say runes or uniques or whatever). I leveled to 99 recently, online. In the past 2 weeks I found jah, Zod, 3 Ohms, 2 Lo, 3 Vex - these are all recorded and uploaded, so no, it's not bs - along with an unknown number of other valuable drops (shakos, storms, vipers etc), I crafted "perfect" runewords (35 spirits etc) and I have not found ONE valuable magic (blue) drop, although I was ID-ing anything I knew could be valuable. YMMV, but keep that in mind. As for this list, it's missing the one item everyone would care about, namely charms. +20 life +5 all res small charms and +45 life +1 skill grand charms (to pala combat, to sorc lightning, to javazon, to MA). Those are magic and they are extremely valuable. I wouldn't go as far as saying that they're more valuable than an entire account, but they do have value.

The problem is that most of these are just so insanely difficult to find. I've been playing D2 ever since it was released in 2000 and I have never found any of those high level magic items. Meanwhile, I've found many high runes and most of the uniques. It would be nice if they improved the chances for rolling some of the better magical combinations. As it exists now, there is such a low chance of ever using a magical item over a rare/set/unique item.

The greater talons are the best base for the +6 LS because they have the highest innate attack speed, and the requirement to wear them is low. Runic talons are just as good except the requirement to wear them is much higher, which means they're bad for pvp since you're wasting stats that could have instead been put into life. The skills that spawn on greater talons also spawn on many other claws.

My cousin had a 50 mf ammy on his sorc back in the day, he had almost every item slot with the highest MF possible on that char at the time, and combined with his merc I think it was something like 1300% MF. Unnecessary we knew but it was more so just for a project character. All he was missing was 5 mf on one of his rings, and i think it was 15 on his circlet, something in that area.

Definitely did find my first 5 ls claws randomly and was pretty pumped about that. Only other thing of note was a lld 3 blessed hammers 3 conviction 3 combat skills scepter. It’s probably easier to just gamble for godly blue items.

Runic talons can spawn all the same stats and staff mods as greater talons. The requirements to strength and dex between the 2 really isn’t an astronomical amount and chances are ya can swing the stats and cut the purchase price in half maybe even more.

Some classes don't get a ton of value out if the ,+skills, so a 3socket tiara with mf can be huge with 3x15/45 jewels or something, way more damage than 2+skills will give and not to mention an extra 45% attack speed with them jewels. And on the claws, greater talons have way less stat requirement to use than runic claws, both can roll all the skills, its just that greater talons are the exceptional version and runic is elite version, so runic naturally have like way more stat requirements while iirc the only min damage better, max damage the same, and alot of the time thses are kinda "caster claws" in a way,

The problem with all of these is that you get way more useful playtime out of just speedfarming runes instead of looking at blue items all day long. I did a lot of Diablo Runs when I played a lot and high-runes dropped like candy and I could pretty much buy anything I wanted, which kind of destroyed the fun of the game. The last thing I bought was a perfect Torch for Sorceress and it felt as if I won the game, so I quit the game.

+3 warcries 80% goldfind circlet with a 2 socket roll. Been trying for so long in single player. No luck. The amulets with +3 skills and 10fcr are not too difficult to gamble. You can not gamble class specific items, so those are always going to have the highest value. Everything else is somewhat obtainable with mass gambling. The class specifics that roll top tier are super rare.

I believe all exceptional and elite claws can have the skills on them - normal claws cannot. Greater talons preferred for highest base attack speed and lower requirements to equip.

buddy.. i once owned probably the most op blue item on diablo 2, it can be found in resurected aswell, bahamut's circlet of life everlasting, got lucky and socketed 2 holes into it. Put that on your immortal sorc with the proper runes/pskulls and its the best possible

Rares Especially Eth weapons, can have INSANE value. Eth rare armors as well. Rare circlets/boots/amulets/rings/gloves all can have value. Generally if its a weapon if its eth ID it. If not toss back on the ground(sorc orbs are an exception, always ID them). 250-300% enhanced damage and fools mod with self repair and 30-40 ias is ideal, 2 sockets and you hit a supreme rare. Sorc orbs with 2 skills 3 main skill and 3 mastery with 2 sockets if rare or no socket if blue are insane, where a magic can get 3 to a skill tree tab like light/fire/cold, combined with like 3 blizz/fireball/lightning/nova as well as the respective mastery are GODLY. They are very rare though, but can get LOTS of value.
