Gladiator, Sentry, Blue Marvel, Hyperion... all these Superman-clone, herald level characters need to just be put in a big tournament, complete with brackets, every March, coordinated by Galactus and the Grandmaster. All of them fitted with obedience disks. Winner gets the Power Cosmic and a tenure as Herald. Silver Surfer is the referee. It would be like March Madness every year for comic geeks haha

Gladiator is physically superior it’s true. And he’s a better fighter. But one of Adam’s key abilities was left out of this fight. He has the ability to amp his physical stats with his antimatter powers. It’s how he beat King Hyperion who started out physically superior to him. Keep in mind, King Hyperion was physically powerful enough to battle against 2 ordinary Hyperions at once and be kicking their asses while Gladiator had his hands full with just one Hyperion (even if he did eventually win that fight). . Blue Marvel would start out overmatched by Gladiator but in the end, he would amp up and overwhelm Kallark. Particularly given the fact he has energy projection, force field generation and even matter/energy manipulation thanks to his antimatter abilities. Blue Marvel would win this. Kallark may take a few early victories if he goes all out quick enough, but Blue Marvel would take the majority.

What I don't get is the creator of Blue Marvel even stated that he created Blue Marvel because there were no black super heroes with that type of power. Power that could rival characters like Hulk, Thor, Sentry and Superman and made him just as smart as Mr. Fantastic. Meaning that BM is on their level or even above them, but anytime DanCo does a VS using BM he always down plays his power. It sounds like DanCo is low key hating to me.

I believe you missed a important example of the Gladiator being less durable and more vulnerable to physical damage than Blue Marvel, in a meeting with the Hulk where he attempted to take by force a young girl to the sh'iar empire, Hulk intervened and after taking Gladiators best shot Hulk beat Gladiator senseless and had to be convinced not to kill him. Gladiator is far less durable than the Marvel due to the energy that Marvel's body generates which reinforces and sustains him.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. 🙂 Blue Marvel wins. His physical strength is powered by the energy produced by a matter/antimatter event horizon (which you yourself admitted is an infinite power source). This also powers his speed and energy blasts. And unlike Gladiator, his abilities aren’t dependent on his state of mind. In one instance, Cannonball was able to overpower Gladiator by shaking his confidence, and I think that everyone can agree that Brashear is several tiers above Cannonball when it comes to power scaling. Blue Marvel is just too OP. Sadly, I think that’s one of the reasons he hasn’t gotten much shine. Most writers find it difficult to write compelling stories about characters who can overcome nearly any obstacle.
