It depends on the shape of your natural hairline, if you're cutting an the hairline on the wig is to far in front of your real hair you just snip that Lil bit of hair with the lace.......with lace wigs the deal is trying to make it look as real as possible and some hairlines on wig don't come with a natural looking shape
