The old printing was a seal of excellence? The dragons are grey so we can paint them.

one thing id like to see in the comparison video (also echoing the back of the cards) is the box insert. everything else being said about the components and the colouring and etc., but... does the box insert at least make sense here?

Looks like the original Kosmos edition will stay in my collection. Too bad that CMON failed with the visuals in this new edition. I missed one thing in the game presentation: What the tiles look like on the flip side. In the Kosmos edition, you flipped the tiles when they were built, from a grey to a colorful side. I assume you do the same here, and that the flip sides look much better than the dull grey sides.

Wrong way round :)In the original version you flip from the coloured side to the grey side and it shows the community rewards for completing neighbouring tiles. Also, in this video Zee does the tile flip at 3:52

I love this game, i made a p&p version because of the lack of games to play, even on sale. I love the Blue Moon original art, but i do like this as well and i think i,m going to buy it

DIdn't Zee already do a comparison video of the new vs. the old version? Pretty sure I've seen Zee talking about the two of them a few weeks (months) back. And of course, I agree with everyone else about the art and color. So glad I have the original version (with promo tiles). In fact, we have two copies in the family as I was able to find and buy a copy for my daughter's collection. Glad I didn't wait for this version for her.

I'm guessing the bases are so you can paint as you wish, but really who wouldn't just paint them as a red, blue, and green dragon anyway?

That`s sad. I was really waiting to get this game. I really enjoy Blue Moon Legends and one of the things I appreciate the most is the vibrant universe, specially the colours in that game. What I find odd is that Legends floped mostly due to the chopping of the art in the cards. Why would you mess yet again with the art in the series? Speacially if you are going to downgrade it...CMON is known for stellar components and yet they choose to underwhelm us in the case of their euro line of games. Why caný we have both?

Zee was kind in his criticism of the color choices. They are abysmally bad. I'm used to having issues, being color blind, but my non-color blind friends could not distinguish the colors any better than I could. We ended up having a long session of trying to figure out the colors and marking everything up with markers just to have any chance of playing it. Good game but I would not recommend this version to anyone.

I just played the original for the first time tonight. I was so psyched that I was going to be able to get a better looking CMON version, but wow this might be the worst looking CMON game yet. What were they thinking?

Never owned or played the original, so I dont think this game looks horrendous, but I could see why most hate how this one looks. I will admit this feels a bit lazy with the dragons and color scheme. The dragon miniatures could've been different molds and sculpts and the color bases are just trash to me at this point. Still I've been wanting to play this for awhile, and will most likely pick it up(unless I find the original for dirt cheap )

I appreciate your T.A.R.G.E.T. scale for breaking down games, but your thematic ties felt weak in this video. Instead of giving you opinion on if the mechanisms tie into the theme, you just gave the game a positive because you liked the theme. Thanks for the reviews though.

Totally agree with Zee, colour choices are awful on both, tiles and player pieces.

How do reprints come out with such bad art and design. It's awfully poor artwork, dull as anything. Blue Moon City is full of colourful races and they really should have gone a little more over the top with the colour scheme. Who says "I want as much grey as possible!" Let's not even talk about those Dragons. What's a wasted opportunity.

Such a disappointing production! Really expected more from CMON. I've been waiting for this game to come back in print for years! All that gray and brown really makes it unappealing. Here's hoping it drops demand for the old edition so that I can pick up the old edition used at a reasonable price.

The color bases for the dragons is probably the dumbest thing about this production. Sadly the game really intrigues me, and this is the only version I will be able to find for the time being. Jeez CMON you can put some more effort in your "non-kickstarted" games

I noticed you did not mention one specific thing about the artwork. Some of this artwork is quite misogynistic. I previously purchased Blue Moon Legends, based on your review of gameplay. I have since tried to sell it (no one wants it) because I really dislike the art, due to it's misogynistic nature. The Mimix faction, in particular is pretty bad. I am not the only gamer that does not appreciate this in their games. Could I suggest that you give a warning, when there is art such as this in a game?
