I find it awesome how almost every hair metal guitarist was simply fucking amazing. Their solo's are crazy usually, getting up there with those neo-classical folks and the power metal guitarists of the past decade..and some of the progressive guitarists as well. They're half of the reason to listen to this music. Simply amazing.

@raistlinmajere100 This is the thing that always has gotten me... It became "hair metal..." and for what ever reason wasn't deserved. In the 1980's if you had the balls to step out there and be THE lead guitarist for a band, you'd better have the chops to do so! So many of these players are unbelievably talented. When Nirvana came in, their scene killed the real players scene. It became cool to yell, scream, and not really be able to play all that well. This is why for me, this music will ALWAYS live on! John Sykes is so bad ass, he's NEVER gotten the credit he deserves. I know of many more out there like him too! Paul Gilbert, Jason Bieler, Andy Timmons, Derek Frigo and many others. I think it's very cool that so many of the younger generation are checking these guys out now and fully appreciating them!

Supergroup if their ever was one. Appice, Franklin, Sykes, (R.I.P. Cozy Powell). Doesn't get much better. Sykes is more known for his guitar playing, but he's a hell of a vocalist also. THIS, was a great album. I remember when I first discovered this cd, bought it, loved it ever since. 30+ yrs later, still jammin' it. If it wasn't for Sykes, Whitesnakes self titled album would have never been so huge.

No one owns the author rights on the rythym. If you wanna go further, Carmine did much better job, complicating the thing by hi hat beats. Listen better! Everyone puts that Bonham into thee sky; noone ever noticed that he is not capeable to play aa simple wirbble pass on snare, and later pass the wirble to the rest of the toms. Paice Ian does it in the deep dream, drinking orange juice, smoking a cigar. Bonham, Bonham, saint Bonham, seems like intentionaly made mistake. I appreciate his work, but I simply can't digest that style - look at me; I'm playing all the contra beats and minuses and it's all I'm good at. Stop puting the man where he simply doesn't belong! Paice, Perth, Copeland, Simon Phillips, Billy Cobham, ALL MUCH AHEAD OF Bonzo... ALL, I forget someone, surely...
