They played this when they played at the Diamond Ballroom just this past summer. It was SO unexpected to hear them sing it live... it's just not very new anymore. This is one of my two favorite. The other one being Ugly Side. This band kept me alive in a time I felt so alone, felt like I had nothing. They made me feel like I wasn't the only one and their music and words became the mental support I needed. When the intro started playing at the concert, I instantly started crying. It was amazing. A memory I will cherish forever.

A guy I recently started seeing sent me this- I haven't really listened to Blue October since 2008.. I know... how dare I... Anyways, He has a tendency to over think like I do and he has a lot of responsibility riding on his shoulders and he is consistently in survival mode. He says when he lays next to me- he sleeps better. He is able to just.. Be. Knowing that I can do this for someone is an amazing feeling... usually people do this for me and I can't ever explain it.. its nice that I have this to draw from... and now I miss him so much. -sighs-

When bipolar people are actively manic they can have a/v hallucinations. The mix of schizophrenia and bipolar is schizoaffective disorder. Point is that the mental, internal struggle is the issue, not necessarily the label. Excellent song. Thanks for posting.

Such a wonderful band!! I like how they are honest about bipolar disorder and other mental disorders. It ruins lives and relationships I know I have BD. Its so hard to live everyday with it. Our minds are our own personal prisons. It sucks but the one thing that has always helped was music. And music that I can relate is even greater in the fight against myself basicly. Blue October is AWESOME!!! :D

I love this song, it's actually about a mental disorder... Bipolar to be exact, all he's asking for.. is for his mind to give him a break.... Uh, do you even know what schizophrenia is? I have schizophrenia and this isn't targeted to a specific illness. Justin may have had one in mind, but it wasn't necessarily for that. It is about someone who eases someone's mind that is clustered with complications. Maybe not even that. It is up to interpretation.
