Fairport Convention did "Sir B. McKenzie's Daughter's Lament For the 77th Mounted Lancers Retreat From The Straits of Loch Knombe, In The Year of Our Lord 1727, On The Occasion of the Announcement of Her Marriage to the Laird of Kinleakie", which makes the title of this one look positively compact! If I was going to buy you a pizza to react to one of their songs it wouldn't be that one, though. 😛

Glad you've enjoyed most of this batch. I don't know if I count as a BÖC fan because I only regularly listen to two of their albums, Secret Treaties (which is one that most people rate highly) and, even more often, Imaginos (which is generally poorly regarded). The latter came out at a time when most of my favourite bands had hit a phase I disliked (Judas Priest, Rush, Genesis, Tull, Queen, Yes) and it felt like a breath of fresh air. I had no idea about the tortured process behind its creation until many years later, by which time it was established as one of my top ten albums - I thoroughly enjoy all the songs except, ironically, the title track! I'll send you some more pizza money soon. There's one I want to include but there appear to be no reactions to it on YT so I'm worried it might get blocked like Dalriada was...

A lot of interesting songs on this album. "I Am The One You Warned Me Of" "Del Rio's Song" and "Magna Of Illusion" are some of my favorites from Imaginos. Have you listened to the remake of "Astronomy" with the spoken introduction by Stephen King? The worlds biggest underground group. Very large and diverse catalog.

Wow. This channel is very noisy, chaotic, enthusiast and fun. More please. Originally, the project was to release three double albums and these songs were done by former drummer Albert Bouchard and BOC Manager Sandy Pearlman in the early 80s. The lyrics are based on the sixties writings by Sandy. The songs were recorded with various guests including Joe Satriani and he is featured on this track. Columbia/Sony put the album in the can. They label decided later to use just the vocal services of the BOC members and this was the result. Albert can be heard on at least one of the songs on the album Albert has since recorded the album under his own name in his own style and also released two further albums loosely in relation to this album including covers of other BOC songs. The original demos for just this album are on KZbin. I saw BOC on the tour for this album, but Albert did not play. He has since played with BOC a number of times. BOC do have a song about the Vampire Nosferatu. The song is also called Nosferatu.

Although viewed by many Cult fans, as not their greatest release, the biggest complaint we had was, there were waaaay too many "guest" artists on this. Nice choice anyway. 👊

As a BOC fan this album "Imaginos" is my least favorite one, because only of the really bad production. Nevertheless there are so many good songs on it (yes it is). Great that you react to a more unknown song! 🐈

Have you heard Albert's version of this album which was released in this decade plus the two follow up albums.
