Always thought this was a cool song, and then I saw them do it live. And it went way up to the top 20 of my all-time favorite BÖC songs.

Thank you for highlighting another very talented but sometimes underappreciated (especially by younger folks) or unknown group. BOC offered intelligence, and great musicianship, but like many other bands never made it to superstardom. But those who know, know as they say. For me, the thing that alway made your channel stand out from the others is the fact that as a musician yourself, you really listen to all the subtle details that many average listeners miss. I love your analysis and learn so much myself. Please don't change.

Their drummer was the same from the 1st album through many many other albums.

Albert Bouchard, and he was awesome during his entire run. Like you said, he did all their albums through 1981 and many after their one. He was let go on the Fire of Unknown Origin tour - they weren’t the same after. But he’s especially terrific on the first three albums - very jazzy and loose. But then again, the music is that for the most part, too. BOC has been 3-4 different styles of bands in their career, but this era was almost an early 70s transition time from psychedelic music of the 60s. And Albert was one of the most prolific songwriters in the band. People know Buck’s stuff because it was the hits but most things in between on the albums were from Albert and his brother Joe. But then you get Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll on their first album - a total callout to the heavier style they’d adopt later on.

So appreciate that you reacted to Teen Archer, one of BOC's unrecognized songs. It holds up so well and still sounds fresh today. I think you've reacted to everything from Tyranny and Mutation! Might have to go back to the debut LP for "Workshop Of the Telescopes", for more obscurities. Thanks!

Catchy hard rock tune with lots of transitions and some jazzy psychedelia thrown into the mix. Always liked this song, but listened to the A side of the LP more since that was the better side. Didn't listen to the album for a few years and when I reheard this song it absolutely blew me away. That is the thing about BOC, there are so many layers to their songs and sometimes they are subtle or short in duration. While they don't sound highly similar to Pink Floyd there are some similarities due to the sonic layers and having to listen multiple times to fully understand / appreciate the song. Sort of like listening to old Miles Davis LPs, the more listens, the more you understand.

Thanks, Wilburn, for your reacts...and promotion of the greatest American Rock band ever to exist. I'll believe you have become a real fan when I hear you SAY THEIR NAMES, though. For reference : Lead guitar and vocals, Donald (Buck Dharma) Roseur; Guitar and vocals, Eric Bloom; Drums and vocals, Albert Bouchard; Keys plus guitar and vocals, Allen Lanier; Bass and vocals, Joe Bouchard. I encourage you to react to songs from their more recent album, " The Symbol Remains"

BOC was under-appreciated and overly talented. Too bad that they are only known for one or two major hit songs.
