nice guitar mate,, good job and China and Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia and other South East Asian countries have really stepped up the quality. It took 40 years but there going strong. The American guitars are over priced and not like they used to be.

If you have a mixed color, do you take a small piece of the wood you plan on staining, and before you stain the top layer, test it on the small piece of wood? To see how it looks? When the stain dries, does the color change (lighter or darker)? Domo arigato (3 X Nippon style bows)

Yes, it is. I test on a smaller piece of wood first and then color the guitar. Sago often blows the color that the customer wants, so we make color samples to confirm it. This is also to confirm individual differences in wood and color.
