When Dominaria United came out, i built a similar deck. Jhoira, Ageless Innovator seemed like a powerful build around card. I had the deck very strong but not quite good enough to bring into a cEDH tournament. And the the Lord of tge Rings set came out. The One Ring was the card that gave that deck legs and i started winning playtest game with it. I built the deck in the Blue Moon direction with Winter Orb, Blood Moon, and Back to Basics. A very heavy stax iteration, but i had trouble closing out games from not naturally drawing into the few win cons like Blightsteel and Portal. Its a deck ive considered rebuilding since i took it apart after not thinking i could push it any further. In tournament i did get paired against two T&K Blue Farm decks and a Krark. I resolved an early Back to Basics to my surprise and shut them down for several turns knowing full well that dockside was only a matter of time. One of them played a Drannith shutting me out of capitalizing on the gamestate. Sure enough one of them eventually got their dockside and my counterbalance blind flip whiffed. I had noncreature counter magic in my hand. My big gameplan against Dockside was to have Jhoira in play and use her to slide in a Torpor Orb. This deck would obviously be much better positioned with the current banned cards

I'm glad you made this decklist, I've been working on a Shao Jun list that plays a lot of the similar cards. I'll be taking some of the stuff from here for my own. Side note Battered Golem is nuts in this deck.

This has inspired me to try brewing Iron Man this way. I think he can already naturally lean into more artifacts and stax pieces like Galazeth, and he does have a fun line into Godo with Pyre of Heroes and can play some interesting outs for infinite mana in combat off the tutor like Goblin Cannon/Retrofitter Foundry/Staff of Domination off of simple rocks and stax pieces you're already on.

chandra torch of defiance is insane in blue moon its ramp and when you get to the ult you just win and you will get to the ult after locking everyone out its also a board wipe its a great card in modern blue moon

Scooter story - Im in MX right now and rented a scooter scooter, not a lime scooter so maybe this the wrong town hall to share this story. I was riding a rental scooter to dinner the other night and got cut off in traffic and had to skirt to a halt to avoid hitting them. I ended up falling and cutting my foot open and scraped my knee up pretty good! Everything is OK and I am safe but the moral of the story is that they need to unban Jewled Lotus and Mana Crypt bc otherwise I might get into another scooter crash. Stay safe out there Scooter Fam!
