I love how you climb down to the surface with a roll in the beginning of the mission, this is a ritual I always perform at the beginning of every mission which was inspired by Ofnir (Ace Combat 5), in their intro cutscene, they engage and dive into the valley just like this. Loved it!

Yeah this is a ritual for me and if it's a naval mission I hover full speed over the surface blazing towards the enemy before launching as many missiles as I can before pulling up over the ships at last minute. Or I'll climb and dive bomb.

They probably used this song as a ref music for making the scene, probably because the sound track of the game wasnt complete yet. It happens a lot in movies.

Not for ace combat, they consider the music a very important part of making and pacing the mission. What they do is actually make all the audio first before making a mission. Theres a interview talking about it, but its planned out as a radio drama and then the music and pacing between lines is added, usually the music used at first is a demo version of the track or only the melody. Finally the stage is made using the "radio drama" and music as a way to pace things. This is part of why the game was delayed before launch.

@@xtrjackson624 That's not terribly uncommon, it takes much longer to retrain someone on a new and more advanced platform when compared to starting with them in the aircraft in the first place. Old habits and mannerisms die hard so if they don't have to unlearn them they'll be able to gain new ones faster.

I just realized, at the start of the mission the cloudy horizon and ocean look like the Osean flag, and the naval strike group is positioned like the stars in the Osean flag too. Dunno if that was intentional but it's really cool

A little commentary on your flying style. I notice you're using the tracking camera a little more than I would. I'd only track the enemy plane when it's out of my forward view. When I've merged with it using the tracking camera's guidance, I adjust with the rudder to line up GUN or EML, or just loose off two missiles. Great video.

@@FoxySpartan117 Yep. Also, if you fire a missile but hold down the button, the camera follows the missile in flight, and then the target once the missile hits or misses. When you do a "tap-and-hold" (two missiles, camera following the second), it makes for a very cinematic shot of the enemy plane getting shot down, and shows it disintegrating.

Railguns are a bit tricky to pick up but once you get the hang of it, its not too hard to get good at it. (which is a shame because once you get over that arc its overpowered in multiplayer compared to most other strats)
