Blue Sky - The Allman Brothers Band cover (both Duane and Dickey's parts)

The studio version of Blue Sky just has another touch of excellence in it. it's on its own level of brilliance like the live version from Stonybrook, and I definitely wanted to cover both versions and post them up. so here it is.

Out of curiosity what's your set up for the YT videos? Camera + amp directly into your computer?

I dont use a computer. I just use the camera's in built mic to record the clips for dickey and duane separately and synch them w the song

Love it!!! I only picked up an electric less than 2 years ago, and this song is the challenge I set for myself. I've got Duane's solo memorized, and most of Dickey's, but it's that damn phrasing that makes all the difference. Really well done.

@@syd3610 For a beginner it's got every technique which IMO makes it a perfect song to learn. Can't play both guitars simultaneously, but I've already detected a bend v. slide on the intro which might help me. Also, at the end of Duane's solo going to the arpeggio, that's been hard for me. I need to slow this down and see if I can nail it cleaner. Either way, this is really sweet. Thanks!

I gotta say this song was a ton of help towards my improv and ear strength. Dickey's part in the intro took me the longest to figure out. Had to give up and stumble across the correct way of playing it in some random abb video where the guy was appreciating Dickey's famous licks and works haha.
