I’ve used Blue Spot axes in my small tree work business for many years and have served me very well indeed, taken abuse. Frequently hit stone when chopping roots and a few light strokes with a grinder and you’re good to go. Very interesting video. Thanks.

I've had those allen sockets for a couple years. Taken everything I've thrown at them so far 👍

Halfords now sell these 1/2 impact torx and also 1/2 impact hex bits but they are covered with a lifetime warranty which is nice. Can get some pretty decent quality tools for not much money these days. 👍

I have a bluespot set of impact adapters 3/4 to 1/2 etc and really pleased with them given the price, we also have a salesman that comes round and sells franklin tools, they're lifetime warranty and good value for money if you've ever heard of them, especially some of the impact stuff.

I think one of my adaptors is franklin which was an eBay purchase. The cheapest socket I own is one I got free with a trailer. 32mm. This is the one shown in this video which is badly worn, It took 12 years of constant use to get in that state which speaks volumes. Impact tools are more forgiving I think. Have you heard of Deltec? UK company.

@@trailerfitter2 Yeah I have a few of their sockets I bought individually for specific jobs, they were epensive but are apparently very good from what I've heard so will hopefully last a long time. Only problem I have is my battery milwaukee gun wears the sockets out very fast, our workshop has a battery 1 inch gun for taking wheels off that will wear a new 32mm socket out to the state of the one you show in you video in 3 months for whatever reason.

@@ethanwilkinson9585 We use a 33mm socket on 'the incher'. Tends to last longer for some reason.

@@trailerfitter2 have you heard of Kennedy tools? My local factor stocks these, Ive not tried them yet...not sure if they’re any good.

Hi Trailer fitter....I can recommend xi-on sockets....they are only for hand tools but they have a special configuration that grips very tightly rust, damaged or rounded off bolts and nuts, or they can be used as normal sockets, they are supplied in 1/4", 3/8', and 1/2" drive normal and deep sockets, very good quality and not expensive.

Very nice and easy to watch review, real life examples and nicely filmed.

A better idea than me cutting down allen keys to fit into my sockets :)

Man knows no pain till the ball end snaps in the Allen socket and you spend hours trying to get it out

Drill it, bang a punch into the centre and pull it out.
