Don't use coconut oil before you bleach or dye hair. It just blocks the product from working properly. Just use a high quality protein mask afterwards to repair and replace keratin..Coconut oil just adds buildup on your hair... it is not that great.

Thank you! I have no idea where anyone got the idea that coconut oil was some magical 'protective' product, but it only, as you said, blocks your lightening products from working properly. In addition, most people use coconut oil just plain wrong anyway. It's only supposed to be used as a pre-shampoo treatment and then washed out. Do NOT leave coconut oil on your hair folks (too much protein)!

Forget using coconut oil and start using argan oil in your hair before you process it. Its much better for your hair.

Thats what I used! It worked for a couple weeks and faded really nicely to a less blue green and more white. Now I’ve had my hair pink for quite a while and it fades to white totally now! I just redye every couple weeks with arctic fox or overtone. No green or blue at all thank god. I think you should do it!
