Blue Water Spearfishing in Bali!

I love spearfishing in Bali! There are so many FADs off the coast of Amed in Bali that are just teaming with life. From large pelagic fish like yellow fin tuna, to smaller but equally delicious fish like the Oceanic Leatherjacket.
With just a few days left before the start of Deep Week I thought what better time to jump on the boat for a day of spearing! Big thanks to Liam for helping me film and a huge thanks to Fusion Freediving for taking us out for the day!

That water and viz is STUNNING! Triple Tail are also found in Atlantic waters. We have quite a few off the coast of the Carolinas and FL 🐠

I am from Port Canaveral Florida and we have triple tail in the 25 LB range here. They outlawed shooting them some years ago though. I think one of the best tasting fish in the ocean is our ocean trigger fish. Their texture and sweetness of their meat is a cross between fish and crabmeat. Hardly anybody ever shoots them. The best kept secret.

Not sure if it’s the same fish, but we have a fish we call a triple tail in the Gulf of Mexico in US. One of the best eating fish around.

HHAHAHAHA....@ 8:35..." Soooo, we've got ummmm....fish here, fish here, fish curry, deep fried fish...battered fish...or whatever..." hahahaha. Here I was assuming you'd know what all those delicious dishes are called...but noooooo haha!! You guys crack me up. BTW...Your resting HR was 73Bpm at the start of a dive?! Isn't that rather high...I would have thought you'd be down around the mid 40's. While doing my breathing exercises (that you introduced me to on your KZbin Channel), my resting HR is usually around 48-50Bpm, which for me is higher than when I was younger and much fitter.

A shame we can't hear the audio to well in that water resistant case :(, a solution could be to get like a go pro hero 5 which is water resistant alone and has good audio, then when you do the dives throw the deeper case on :) kinda expensive though haha
