Did you just go 35 meters deep with no oxygen? You got more trust in your lungs than me (I know others have gone much deeper with no oxygen but still pretty crazy)

Hello Adam, thanks for your videos! It's a very interesting topic and there are already quite a few studies on nutrition and apnea. The basis is in the management of O2 and metabolic acidity by CO2 and lactate, blood displacement, diving reflex... These performance factors are the ones that have to be taken into account. We have to adjust everything a bit to apply it to underwater fishing, because it has a much more pronounced resistance factor than pure apnea (which is mainly anaerobic)... But that's where it's going. As a summary I can tell you that scientific evidence (and the self-taught evidence of many) points to a 14-hour fast (last meal at 9 pm and training at 10 am, for example). And a healthy diet low in processed foods, low in calories, alkaline, low in carbohydrates and dairy, and excellent hydration are the keys to making sure that food really helps improve performance in apnea 👍 I suggest you check out PUBmed, looking for the terms "hydration and apnea", "apnea nutrition", "sodium bicarbonate apnea", "fasting apnea". Greetings from Tenerife!

"It seems that I can now artificially induce the yawning motion at any time to perform BTV (Eustachian tube opening). I can hear the clicking sound in both ears. As I practiced this method, I realized that I can only achieve BTV if there is a motion of inhaling air. So, when there isn't much air in my lungs, even if I close my mouth and perform the inhaling motion, the inside of my mouth becomes slightly vacuumed, and I hear a clicking sound in my ears. However, when I take a deep breath and my lungs are full of air, I cannot perform the inhaling action, which is problematic. Do you have any good solutions for this?" Let me know if you need any adjustments!

Hi Adam liked this quite complete video on the topic and I recommended a number of times. Just to clarify, I don't think you can reverse pack easily once your residual volume is reached. So the only thing you can change and improve is working on lowering your residual volume RV by stretching. This way you'll achieve what you describe as a deep frenzel i.e usually more than 25, 30m. Federico Mana said the lungs are the gas station and the mouth is your tank , once you've reached your RV you can't suck air from your lungs anymore. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks again

If the ideal CO2 level to start with is created with normal tidal breathing, would it not follow that breathing as close to relaxed normal breathing would be the ideal breath-up? Honestly curious about this as it sounds like it would be more simple/intuitive than the 5-sec in/10-sec out 50% lung volume method.
