Hi Kara, I live in Iowa and have found a great way to prevent Japanese beetle damage and also moths. Get the cheapest lemon scented dish soap you can find, I go to the Dollar Tree, put a couple of little dots in a hand sprayer and fill with water. Mist all of the plants that beetles like. Timing is everything! I have to do my clematis before it blooms or right after. It also has to be done every week and after rain. That might seem like a lot of time but I just grab my bottle when I go out for the evening stroll and mist whatever has bites😁 I do large areas with the hose sprayer, adding about a cup of soap. Also, you add a cup of original Listerine or generic to the hose mix, you can tackle mosquitoes and gnats.

I wish i could order heirloom roses but they only ship in Us. I love the roses that u just added.😊 organza bag is smart idea. I used that for my dahlias and zinias.maybe next year ill use that as well foe my roses.
