☀️🌼👨‍🌾🌻🐝🌸🦋🫑🍅🥕🥬🐝 I’m back for another update of your beautiful garden. It’s amazing to see the changes in your plants over time. I look forward to watching your garden grow! I love watching my garden grow a little each day, that is my favorite part of gardening. It’s so fun to have the growth documented over the season to look back at and see progress. I love that about being a garden KZbinr. Let’s learn & grow more together!

Well thank you so much for stopping by! What you described is exactly one of the main motivators for starting our KZbin channel. We are on a new property so there are going to be so many changes and it will be fun to be able to look back and see how far we have come. Garden and otherwise!

OMG what a beautiful garden! 1tsp Dawn to a spray bottle of water and spray on to the squash bugs will kill them. Me and Kerry are pea addicts! We are hoping to plant enough to freeze some instead of eating them all in the garden-yup, we do that. I top the onions a few times and use in stir fry, makes a bigger bulb. If you allow your lawn to get tall and before goes to seed, the cuttings makes a great mulch like straw to layer for your wildflowers in place of straw. I'm so glad to have you found me so I could subscribe to yours. Will be watching! Thank you!

Hello Jilly and Kerry! Thank you so much for the dawn dish soap tip! I will definitely be using that this year! 😊 We are guilty of eating all our sugar snap peas before they leave the garden too haha. Morning Cara and family my peas are just getting first flowers finally. Everything looks fantastic and so lush your doing a great job 👏. Salad sounds delicious. There is something eating everything 😂😂 the tiny holes may be flea beetles 🪲. We just use radishes sliced in salads and yes the bigger they are the woodier 🤦🏼‍♀️. Slugs oddly nibble radish too 🤷‍♀️. If soil is too rich they will grow more leaf than radish and apparently the seed pods are edible too. Very cool tiny broccoli 🥦👏👏👏. Great update have a fabulous week 🐝 safe

I love sugar snap peas. I like to eat them raw, like snacks. The radishes are huge and so pretty. You have such a great growing area! OMG. One day we were outta celery for garbanzo bean salad with a mayo, and onions. So I chopped radishes small like celery and hubby enjoyed it. Gave it a good crunch and the ones we had, a little heat. Love that you're growing your own cabbages! Your whole area is very nice. Going grapes is on my wish list!

I’m not a huge lover of radishes and started roasting them this year, too. Did you roast yours along with other veggies? I cut mine in half and add them with other vegetables being sure to include onion and colorful peppers. The sweetness of the onions and peppers works well with the radishes. I like to have a mix of flavors in my roasted veggie medleys so radishes are a nice addition. All that said, I’m not converted to a radish lover.

I would prune the bottoms of your pepper plants, it should help you get better top growth and fruit. Peas don't have to have trellis, at the farm I worked at they would keep them laid down and we would just flip them over when we picked them. I still trellis mine to help with space though 😉 Garden tools are way too much fun! We get so excited about 'garden toys'. We are growing an Atlantic FI giant pumpkins this year, are you going to fertilize it to help it get big? My husband says we have to grow a massive one 😆 so I went to the local hydroponics store for fertilizer 😀. We are trying the woven fabric mulch in between the corn rows to help cut down our weeding this year. Great tour and beautiful property!

Thanks for the tip on the pepper plants! I had too mine and I typically prune lower leaves when they get bigger, but maybe I will give it a shot while they are small. Glad to hear, because that trellis I made has fallen over even more now haha 😂 Did the farm ever have any problems with the peas getting soggy or rotting in the dirt? Garden toys are the best haha 🙌🙌 Thank you so much for watching! Hope you have a wonderful day 😊

@@bluebirdhomestead no issues with the peas the leaves would get yellow onbthe underneath, I suppose if you are in a very wet climate that could be different they were in VT. I planted mine a week ago and need to go back out and prune more already.
