Trying to learn art is one of my biggest goals in life and I just don’t know how to deal with this lack of motivation, I feel like there’s other people that would also relate but wouldn’t speak up. If not that’s all right I just thought that it could be a learning experience for many who need help with studying (including me). Like did you study in a chronological order? Example: studied/practiced anatomy for 2 weeks, studied/practiced sketching for 2 weeks, etc. It would be a really good video idea if you don’t have it yet but let me know if you do! probably wont be noticed but recently, I've been taking a bunch of parts of characters from various artists that I admire, but my art is starting to look nearly identical to theirs. (for example, I tried using your facial structure video and looked at a couple of your characters eyes) what can I do to keep my art from becoming a blatant copy of theirs? I want my work to have some sort of unique feature but its starting to look almost the same as the drawings I look at during my free time.

(Idk if my question is clear) But anyway I love your art and this Astarion fanart is chief kiss I love it !!! Keep up the good work yay !

how do you do that lasso tool when you completely fill the sketch/lineart with gray 😭. i see so much artists lassoing their whole drawing. idk if its just because my hand isnt steady enough, but i actually can not do it. it always comes out too shaky and it takes forever.
@skullyskup6 ай бұрын
this is awhile ago but hi! Do it in small sections!! one piece of hair at a time, one finger, one fold of clothes etc. once the "outline" is done, you can loosely trace the unselected area in the middle. Depending on the program you're using, just hold "shift" while using the lasso tool, so that when you lift your pen it won't reset the whole section

hello, I wonder how long have you been practicing drawing? I've been practicing drawing for 3 months and signed up for many coloso courses... I feel like I'm still not progressing, I'm really disappointed in myself... is perseverance the best method?
@spam-el3ee9 ай бұрын
You weren't asking me but I'll answer anyways. I think perseverance really is key when it comes to developing a craft like art. I've been drawing nonstop since I was a toddler, but I also feel like there's a long way to go, because there is. Art is a journey that continues your whole life! You said you feel discouraged, and I sympathize, but ask you to keep on the path of learning. You're giving it your best shot, and that will pay off. There's many wonderful and amazing things to learn about art, and yourself through art, so I hope you keep going and find your destination
