Bob Higgins, who was the brass instructor for bloo from 2006-2011 and 2016-2019, and a professional Tuba and Bass Trombone player, came to work with us (Betsy Band) during band camp, and he recently said that he’ll come back for a few days during concert season. We’re so lucky that he lives so near and has helped us so much 🔥

The contra is undoubtedly one of single most badass instruments of all time. Im lucky enough to be in the only school in our tournament that runs them. Everyone else runs sousas.

All of these features are great. But you left out the closer of 2009, which was Hatian Fight Song by Mingus. That tuba feature needs to be recognized here. With that said, thank you for sharing this video.

2022 is probably my least favorite feature, nothing against the performers, but every time I've listened to the feature it never really clicked with me. 2010, 2011, and 2014 are my favorite because of their range. They are all considered S tier though.

I slightly remember some contra feature from last year. I remember doing some big I can only remember up to the end of the tuba feature. Last year was epic!

Tuba,contra same thing. (Everyone calls them tuba feats and I know the existence of the contra since my coach and friends marched contra) ((coach marched Bloo))

The Contra and Tuba are pretty much the exact same thing. A contra is just a concert horn flipped onto the shoulder
