I have done 5 rear sections and going to start my second front section here soon. I used sem on one and it didn’t last. I used some deltron fleet which has lasted

Friend has a farm truck the frame got bent up bad we found a new old stock frame for it and pulled the body and put it on a whole new frame.

Well I'll be a wild turkey, I didn't know it was this easy to extend the F-150 frame chassis to go from a 5.5'ft bed to an 8.0'ft bed. Now I can just have my current truck extended rather than spending $75,000 for a truck with an 8'ft bed.

hey Kyle, i have a 2017 RAM 2500 with somewhat similar damage. someone tried doing a hack weld job of it. it seems like the damage js more isolated to the back and the hitch assembly, but Im not a professional. when a frame get crunched even a little bit in the rear, even if its seemingly isolated, is this typically the required repair (cuttinf off this much of the frame), if so how much does a repair like this typically cost?

I thought all frame stuff like that was total loss? When I worked in autobody we never fixed frames unless it was cash customer the frame machine was barely used always covered in dust. Nice job as always

Cars and trucks are holding value really well these days. New trucks are also really expensive these days. Plus, there's always the owner that really wants that particular car fixed.

@@patx35 That's definitely true. Trucks are outrageous!! My friend is a flipper has been for 20 years he had to go back to work to have extra money coming in cause its to hard to flip stuff these days. People want full retail for a vehicle that needs a bunch of work no money to be made

Question: are you seeing insurance companies more willing to do more extensive repairs sense vehicles are worth more since this Wuhan flu hit?

From what I’ve seen, they total them with less damage than what would previously be a cause for a total loss. They bring retail money at the salvage boys auctions, even with all the damage; it’s ridiculous.

I bought my sister a totaled Civic from a customer for front bumper cover & fender with low miles i fixed it in 3 hrs with parts from a totaled Civic in the rear we had at the shop that was abandoned she's been driving it for 5 years paid like $1,000 for it clean car

Insurance gets good money from the auctions nowadays too, so totalling it out sometimes makes more sense.

I had a 2018 Camry with less then 30,000 miles on it.I clipped a buck on the highway that only broke the grill, and the passenger bumper mount which I fixed myself for less then $100, but all 12 airbags deployed..totalled! Apparently, the airbags are worth more than the car 😂
