When I was a kid my grandpa had a big pecan orchard but the squirrels were fox squirrels much bigger than the gray squirrels. GOD bless thanks for sharing. Keep on keepin on!

Hi Gabriel! Christoph from Germany! We even have these parrots in Germany (Rhinevalley Cologne Neuss). The ones we have here are ring-necked parakeets! They originate from southern Asia! In Florida you have many (17) different species of mostly parakeets! Some idiots let them roam free, like someone did with the Pythons in the everglades! Best regards from Germany!

Brian O'Neal Chasing squirrels is my passion. Most people will turn their nose up at eating a squirrel but they don’t know what they are missing. I make mine into squirrel stuffed crescent rolls. You every make it up to PA I’ll take you to chase some giant grays and fox squirrel. Those little bitty squirrels are the size of the yearling kits up here. If you ever wanted to do an epic gray squirrel video, i have 16 acres of woods infested with them. I took 5 years off of hunting and now i get the bag limit of 4 every time i go here in Ohio. I grew up hunting and always came home with something whether it was squirrels, doves, rabbit, and sometimes ruffed grouse. I always got my limit of deer and the occasional turkey. My mom used to dredge the squirrels in seasoned flour, brown in a skillet and slow cook in the oven or crock pot and make gravy. I always cut the tails off though... hehe.

We've got tons of green parrots here in south Brevard county too. A breeder in Cocoa Beach had a bunch escape years ago, possibly due to a hurricane or tropical storm. The parrots kept breeding & making their way south to where they are all over the barrier island ( east of the Indian River ) clean on down into Indialantic & Melbourne Beach areas. You can hear em squawking & see em flying around all the time. But for some reason, they don't seem to be anywhere inland ( west of the Indian River. ) I guess these parrots want to be beach bums, lol.

Squirrel is very good. I cook them in a crock pot all day, and the meat usually falls off the bone. I've also pressure cooked them for 20 minutes, then egg wash, roll in flour or bread crumbs, then fry them until golden brown. They are excellent. Kelly had a look on her face like she was biting into something poisonous ! Lol

That looks like a quaker parrot. They sell them in pet shops. lol. They also have amazon parrots in Florida. I've owned one of those for 20+years. A-CORN. like CORN on the cobb! The bruising on your left arm reminds me of bow-hunting and you over-extended your left elbow, hitting it with the string. I shot recurve, and I've bruised a many of times! lol

The parrots are Quaker parrots. They like to build a community nest. Up north they build there nest on transformers on telephone poles. A nuisance!! A lot of the locals in South Fla. Palm Beach area south treat them like are there PETS. Like what people are doing for eguanas... Oh yea, I love your, Dear meat and Kellie KZbins!! Watching Kelly eat a tree rat now!!! Very funny!

I can remember, squirrel was one of my favorite meals with milk gravy! My mother would fry them up and we had to be careful not to bite down too hard on a pellet! I took my son hunting and he still takes his son squirrel hunting! It's a family tradition! We have actually put them in tinfoil on a fire with potatoes and open them up and they were fall apart delirious!

We have a similar up bringing my Dad worked outside the home my mom inside the home and we also had a hot cooked meal every night..my dad fished on and off the boat and three girls along with him and we ate squirrel. Fish, deer and coon meat..Thanks for sharing

I'm in a suburban neighborhood... started harvesting the squirrels... then after awhile started cleaning them and eating them. Excellent food, while taking care of an overpopulation. BUTTTT you gotta boil them for an hour... If you bake them it will stink up your house. Boil then fry works great.

Ate muskrat a few days ago. You could compare it with those Nutria, but more tender, softer. I'm from Belgium. A few years ago, they served it in the better restaurants. Customers didn't knew it, but it was called "water-rabbit", in my languish, Flemish, or Dutch, it's "waterkonijn". I'm 43 now, but back in those days, about 15, 16 years old, always ready to earn some bucks, I used to trap them, since where i grew up, there was some wetlands, so, their environment. I caught them, emptied my traps a few times a day, and sold them EVERY DAY to restaurants that had a France or Italian kitchen. And Greek restaurants as well. Also regular rabbits. Dude, I made A LOT of money with them rats, euh, water-rabbits! One time, I caught 400 rats, yes, four hundred, in two days! Partied very, VERY, hard that year. They breed like crazy, and they only eat green. And they were very tasty. It's just their name; rat. 99,9% of customers didn't knew what "water rabbit" was, but they paid a lot in those better restaurants. A lot! LOL
