Gabe, a Coyote or Wolf will leave a pointed track with the middle toe and cannot retract the claw (toenails).... A cat on the other hand leaves more of a rounded track with the claws retracted, although sometimes the claws will show when the track is laid down heavy on sand or firm mud in a running/ trotting gait.... I learned this when I was trapping for a living back in the 80s....

I watch a lot of outdoors/fishing KZbinrs and not one of them has ever come to my great state of Wyoming. I live about two hours from Casper, it would have been so cool to see you when you were here. I'd love to be able to fish and hunt where you live,but I could never give up my mountains, the natural beauty surrounding me, and all of the wonderful things God created, here. I live on the Wind River Indian Reservation, home to the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho people. There is so much of our nation's history that began, here. I bought a stuffed and mounted Jackelope head in Jackson Hole Wyoming years ago. If you are not familiar , a Jackelope is a cross between a Jack Rabbit and an Antelope😉, and they are really cool looking. Ask Crystal if she has ever stuffed a Jackelope head . 😁
