When we have soft shell, we always boil the meat and saltwater and then we fry it. Boiling it first will take all the grit and everything out of it. Plus it makes the meat more tender. I absolutely love soft shell turtle 🐢

My Mother (God bless her beautiful Soul) used to fry chicken livers and gizzards for us. But I have to admit: I was a lil' concerned about the gentleman in the orange shirt with his back to the water.... worried about the gators!! P.S. Great video.....the small catfish is so YUMMY. There is nothing like wild turkey.....l have never tried it fried....but would love to try it. Everything you cooked looked fantastic. Your conservation techniques are wonderful for the public to see. I grew up on a river where we would build our fire on a sandbar in the river. We used pitch forks and caught the catfish and carp in deep holes on the side of the river. In the winter when the snow was deep my Father would take bags of corn from the mill....and spread it on the gravel roads...so the pheasants could eat when the snow was deep. His love of hunting made our holiday table filled with wild game. Thank you for bringing great memories back. God Bless You Both. 🍃🕊🇺🇸
