I remember meeting you at the Frontier Ranch back in the day. You played an old Alvarez or something like that, and when you hit the stage, it was like, woah! Clearly a cut above. Great to see how far you've come!

Hello from Crete, Greece! Good luck with your business endeavors I hope it materializes well for you. All the best PS. Allow me to say with only good in mind: Try not to get too much, in the end something will give, (between music-fitness-merchandise-etc) Don’t drown yourself out. With love from an old brother that got burned once!

I went from 200-210 down to 167 at one point, now I'm back up to 170 been snacking at night a bit. Did the same sort of thing as you - not fanatic just ate fruit for breakfast and started having much smaller healthier lunches. Made a big difference over time. Also stopped drinking large ice coffees with a ton of sugar in the middle of the day.

I couldn’t agree more about fiddle tunes making all your playing better. It’s an intense practice that isn’t just scales, but rather a melodic, musical, exercise that crosses over into everything else. All of a persons playing will inherit that bounce from the “do do do’s” 😂. All my favorite guys have had bluegrass in their wheelhouse. Dickie, Jerry, and my new #1, you Guthrie! Thanks for your videos, and the ArtistWorks program as well!

Mate, this is one of my favourite teaser videos so far Guthrie. I’ve been listening for the first time to some bluegrass on your recommendation and can see how much it shows up in your playing. “Do do dos”, “potatoes” some strumming patterns. I learnt so much in this one. This was awesome. In other news, wifey had a baby on Monday and I wanted Guthrie, but we agreed on Arlo instead.

If you're not familiar with it give Fairport Convention's album Full House a listen, especially track 3 'Dirty Linen' for the incredible bass playing...track 6 on their album Liege & Lief is a 'Medley' of crazy tempo jigs.

Great job sticking with it. After a big weekend cheat, the major culprit in weight is sodium caused water-weight gain. Two days of low sodium (1mg to 1.5mg) and the water sheds while you lose the residual pass-through. You're doing great, and thanks for the guitar tips!

I’ve been waiting A LONG TIME for some more insight into your flat-picking, “DO-DO-DO” exercises. Do you elaborate on those in the artist works lessons at all? If not, it might just be time for me to grab an online lesson from you ASAP! On a sidenote I was going to come to “the kitchen,” in Nashville and see you play last week. I’m an airline pilot and had a Nashville overnight but got rerouted due to other airline logistics. Needless to say I was pretty broken up about it, but that’s how it goes. Keep up the good work. We are loving all of your content regardless of how you get it out there!

Wow, that Gibson sings. Love that bluegrass feel. Been going back to the open stuff lately, always fun man. Just love the guitar and the places it can take you. Nothing like mixolydian over the the 6 minor, haha. Peace bro, hope to get back to your place again soon. I want to help you hang those items up on that beautiful wood wall. Doesn't hurt to bring it up , peace GT, keep on keepin on.....

Weight control is a process, I wrestled for over 13 years and can tell you that its all about portion control and eating the right combination of food. Its okay to have some bad stuff so either keep the portions small or have bad stuff occasionally. Like any thing take it one day at a time. Just watch having a lot of bad stuff at once as your stomach digestion will change the longer you eat healthier and the bad stuff can affect your digestion the older you get. In my 40s as well.

Hey Guthrie, Well, as usual...you never fail to knock the ball right out of the park!!! And Blackberry Blossom was no exception!! After picking my Jaw up off the floor again (nothin to worry about, I'm gettin used to it!) I decided to write and ask you specifically about that Minor version. I would be very interested in hearing a little something on how you would go about putting something like that together in a minor key. This is, by the the way, the first time I ever heard that tune as a Minor Version, and I REALLY like it!! I am also a Member on your Artist Works Channel, but don't have any kind of equipment (or whatever stuff you need for that) to send in a video. OK, I'm Old School, but I DO have a PC! Do you possibly already have something specifically about that in the curriculum? If so, I haven't seen it yet. Mucho Congratulatianos on all the success you are currently enjoying with everything you do. What an inspiration you are to everybody's life you have touched! You very obviously, and most certainly, have earned it, deserve every bit of it, and I am SO HAPPY for you!! A perfect example of "You Reap What You Sow". I KNOW how much work, study, practicing, playing, performing, determination and persistence etc etc. has gone into being able to do everything you pull off so (what appears to be) effortlessly and find myself grinning from ear to ear with each and every Video all the way through! I could ramble on and on, but I know you're a busy guy! LOVE your Videos, LOVE your Channel and before I go just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH, FOR EVERYTHING!!!!

Thanks so much man. Means a lot to me. So this isn’t a minor version. The song is in G major. The B section goes to E minor then B7. The A section chords are G C D. I played the rhythm part in the video. Thanks again!!

What I would really love is if you could do a lesson on how to get the alternate string flat picking down like that ! I've been playing for more years than i want to admit and to this day thats one thing I just cant get right....I can do it on one string but the second I try and move from string to string---it gets sloppy - I just cant seem to get it....
