10:26 i'm pretty sure I learned to write the top dot, then the line and then the bottom dot in 海. Are there multiple correct stroke orders, or did I learn the wrong way?

You are right, the normal order is dot, dash, and dot, but sometimes we write the dash first and then two dots. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKaxi3ijr65-ntk

Just soak and rinse in water hang to dry. If it is permanent ink it cannot be washed off.
Im not sure but I know there is no letter "L" in Chinese so she may be meaning "glass" or even "graph". She also mentions "running style" which I think may be the equivalent of our "joined up" writing as opposed to printing letters.

I checked it out and it is "grass" style and it is a cursive (joined up) style. Hope this helps.

That was writing/drawing Chinese Characters, not Chinese Calligraphy; Well .. when I was a kids, i thought whoever wrote Chinese Character with a Brush was writing Calligraphy, now I know my thinking was totally wrong. Character as a art can be written, drawn, or... not alway Calligraphy.
