Jackson needs to play when the games are open, end to end and on the counter. He has the pace, decent hold up and link play with good ball carrying. Christo needs to play against low blocks and teams that go all out defense.

It was comfortable, I’m happy there wasn’t any injuries. Sublime chip pass from Felix to Nkunku for that first goal. I would have loved George to have scored but it was a case of snatching at the shot, simply didn’t keep his head but he’s only 18 and settled down afterwards. All in all it turned out to be a practice game but it’s great to see basically our B team play so well. Up the Chels! 💙

KDH has been asked to play the dual roll in the middle (the Enzo position). Carney is a 10 and has only been used in that position by Maresca. Felix signing is what is holding him back. Personally, I like that players like Carney, Santos, Wiley, Guiu etc who are extremely young are getting experience in the squad or out on loan. They will be all the better for it. It’s too risky putting them in too young is still developing as the PL is ruthless and can make or breaks player real quick. When they show they are ready space will be made. Santos to me is the next guy. Gusto has already been through this process but showed he was too good not to be included as there squad 2 right backs. Remember we were initially looking for more experience, until we weren’t due to his progression. I believe that’s why Axel was purchased at the time to cover both CB and RB, without ruining Gusto’s development.
