Man you’ve taught me so much in this whole drone videography thing. Just wanted to say a huge thanks that there’s people like you out there. You haven’t posted in a while so I hope things are going well. But again a huge thanks. Your shots are incredible and have been an inspiration to me for sure but I wouldn’t doubt many people like me. I know a decent bit about camera 📸 photography but you helped me learn a great deal about drone photography with your videos

Incredibly helpful, the latency audio sync issues when mixing with wired cameras are what I was interested in and putting the audio between both sources to balance it was what I immediately thought of - and then you did it! Great minds ;) Super helpful video!
@mondotv42163 жыл бұрын
Explain it to me? The ATEM mini pro only has one audio delay and then only for the direct input. Assuming you’re using wireless mics through either a camera or directly into the ATEM, the wireless video is always going to be out of sync and 4 frames is significant. You can see in the example clip it looks off. That kind if compromise means nothing is in sync.

My concern would be live streaming sports, CAM1-wired main camera. CAM2 -wireless, connected to a switcher like Rgblink & broadcasting through a mixer. Would there be latency on the wireless CAM2 focusing on the goalie as an example.

Hi thanks for this video. just one question. do you use it a wireless connected cam with wired cams on ATEM? if yes how you sync the wireless one with the wired ones specifically if you get the sound from external mixer! like it is often with church related productions.
@BlueMantleFilms2 жыл бұрын
I do talk about that specifically in the video. Guessing you didn’t watch the whole thing?
@BlueMantleFilms2 жыл бұрын
In short, yes I do combine wireless and wired sources, and I add an audio delay that splits the difference between the two sources and they end up close to in sync with the audio and with each other (not perfect, but close).

Hi. Amazing Video. Just a question. Where do you add that delay in audio to sync with video?
@BlueMantleFilms3 жыл бұрын
I have a Zoom F6 audio recorder that I use to manage audio for my livestreams, so that's what I use. The ATEM Mini can do an 8-frame delay, so not *quite* enough for what I prefer (I do around 300ms/9 frames delay). 8 is pretty close, though, so if you're working with an ATEM it could work, depending on how particular you are about syncing. An 8-frame delay would get pretty close to the ideal delay.
@reddanselmo87814 жыл бұрын
Can adjust the audio delay from the mic input to match the video feed’s latency?
@BlueMantleFilms4 жыл бұрын
With the ATEM Mini (which has up to 8 frames delay with the software control) it gets close. What's tricky is the HDMI on my cameras have about 5 frames of latency, so I've got to add that to the latency of the wireless system (around 4 frames) so ideally I'd do a 9-frame delay. For myself this isn't a problem because I have hardware that can do the delay, but if I were limited to using only the ATEM for the delay, the max delay at 8 frames would be *slightly* off.

I'm having alot of issues with my pro 300 enhanced I'm like 10-15 feet from my truck that's were my transmitter Sits. but I'm getting lag and that choppy pixlation stuff. I'm fairly new to all this. I Live Stream Chasing Police Scanner Calls. so I'm all over town. so I can't always be right by my Truck. but I'm trying to update the firmware threw the Google play store. and it's not letting me so idk if that's the issue. that I need to update I'm nit sure any info is much appreciated
@BlueMantleFilms2 жыл бұрын
I'll bet the truck itself is causing issues. I learned this the hard way: I was doing a mobile livestream, and had two receivers in the back of a van (with the back doors open), with two cameramen and their respective cameras/transmitters out on the route that was being walked. I couldn't get a clean signal from either camera regardless of how close they were, and I think it was because the signals were bouncing around inside the van. The next livestream I did, I mounted the receivers high on poles, and kept them farther apart from each other (6-ish feet) and it worked really well.

How are you attaching the Mars 300 Pro to the monitor? I can't seem to find a double-sided NPF battery.
@BlueMantleFilms3 жыл бұрын
The monitor is a Feelworld 5-inch monitor that has a mount that’s the same as an NPF battery, so the Mars 300 mounts onto the monitor as though the monitor itself is the battery. And then on the other side of the monitor there’s a spot for an NPF battery, so the battery that you put into that powers both the monitor and transmitter.
@enidrajm3 жыл бұрын
@@BlueMantleFilms I see. It's a feature of that particular monitor. I appreciate your response. : ) And thanks for the inspiration for the combo handle-monitor mount. I'm considering it along a NATO approach.

What is the HDMI quality when used to livestream? Lumix G7 outputs 4k HDMI at least at 100 Mbps bitrate and the Mars 400 Pro only does 12 Mbps. @bennozwanenburg93183 жыл бұрын
When I play a sync test video from any source and whatch it by the app than audio is half a second too late. When I connect a monitor at the output of my 300 Pro then it’s perfect in sync. The problem is the app. Is it perfect in sync with your iPad/iPhone?

If you mean as a livestreaming device itself, it’s not capable of doing that. My streaming device is an ATEM Mini Pro. So all of my video sources, wireless and wired, go into the ATEM, then I’m able to do live switching between the various angles, and use the built-in encoder to stream directly to KZbin or Facebook (or other platforms).

Which spiral micro hdmi cable was that ?
@BlueMantleFilms4 жыл бұрын
It's the Atomos AtomFlex HDMI. It's definitely not the cheapest option for spiral cables (around $60), but it's rated to be able to send 4K at 60fps at 4:2:2 compression, so I can use it with my Atomos Ninja V to record with as little compression as possible. For livestreaming, which for my setup with the ATEM Mini Pro is limited to 1080p, this cable is overkill. Still, since I have it, I use it for my livestream setup also.

Also, the one I have is not micro HDMI, it's standard (Type A) HDMI on both ends. But they do have Micro-HDMI and Mini-HDMI options.
