I took a look at Goldtop - they have some good gloves - saw an interview with the co-owner which was featured on Bennets Bike Social - great guy - very interested in safety. For vintage looking gloves, they do a good job, although the Fives were good too. Handroids are very ugly IMO, but the bullet has to be bitten sometimes. My next video deals with a gold top product actually...Cheers.

@@BlueMarbleRider Good to hear, looking forward to the new video. And yes, Goldtop gloves are good quality, but compared with the likes of Knox with more emphasis on design than safety. But they are proper thick leather gloves with some padding. I have the Bobbers in a great green leather.

Motorcycling is an expensive hobby, especially the ATGATT component. I have always been struct by the fact that before I even turn the key on the bike I am sitting there in anywhere from $2500-3500 worth of kit and it is not to be stylish. How many have spent less on their entire kit than you did on just gloves? Looking around at many riders it would seem a lot. It is cringe worthy at what many motorcyclists, and their pillion passengers, don't wear. One of my biggest pet peeves is seeing a someqhat well kitted rider with his pillion mounted girl friend who has zero kit other than a helmet screaming along the highway on a sports bike. It would be interesting to see what the least expensive but comprehensively safe kit would cost a rider. Speedy recovery sir!

A good idea, Lyle, something I may look at. Given we've been in the middle of 30-35C on the island right now, there is enough exposed skin out there to make your eyes water, and not in a good way. Thanks, Lyle.

Good info. (By the by, the regulation on the label is EN 13594 2015, but you keep saying 13954). I wear Klim aero gloves in the summer. I was choking on their price of $180 a couple of seasons back, but you have me thinking of upgrading.

Thanks Rusty -you're right I was mixing the number up. Yes, it's such a little injury, but frustrating as I can't ride without a thumb. If I do come off again, I'm hoping the Handroids will make sure I don't do any damage to the digits! Cheers.

After breaking both my little fingers in a crash l would strongly recommend gloves that join the third and fourth finger together.

@@BlueMarbleRider basically all the top racing gloves from the large companies. Think MotoGP They are expensive but so are my little fingers. The fingers are separate so don't help with the warmth. The third finger acts as a splint making the little finger stronger.

You have just been assimilated by the Borg. lol. Yeah. Those are a real ugly pair of gloves. Most 5 gloves that are not made to look classic like the Kansas model have a hard ceramic plastic like sliders for sliding along. My waterproof Five’s have that.

Fives are great gloves - those sliders are good. Need more gloves out there with some flexible thumb protection. Hoping the ugly handroids help in that dept. Cheers.
