Another great video brother Ian! I have to say that for Jazz, I have always been partial to Blue Note; something about the way the music 'breaths' and comes to life on the early vinyl pressings... cannot beat the 50's/60's hard bop! Of course, many incredible titles on Prestige, Verve, etc. as well. :) I am yet to purchase the Music Matters editions since Ive been caught up in the miserable 'convenience' of digital as of late lol. But now that I am geared up to unpack my T.T. from storage, it seems like they are the way to go in terms of high quality reissues. I looked through a box earlier of some of my older jazz records. I found a 1st press Lexington ave. Jimmy Smith at club baby grand that looked excellent to near mint, forgot I had such an early title. But i will *NOT* even consider playing it until I get a new cartridge and full setup lol. Cheers to you Ian, Josh

hi Ian have u tried out the blue note 80 and tone poet reissues? they sound really good. cut by kevin gray from the original analog tapes. that hank mobley LP, the feeling's good that u play off and on sounds amazing. the music is sooooooo good. will try to pick up a copy one of these days.

Wow, those reissues look great. Especially the photos on the inside of the gate fold. Do you have any of the original 33 rpm originals? How does the 45 rpm sound compared to the 33?

As well they should release the master tapes. It's the only viable option for preserving an all analog version for decades to come, as the tapes will eventually degrade, leaving only a digital copy.
